In terms of transfer fee possibly but we don’t know about agent feesWhats even funnier is the tight arse ended up spending more money on Godfrey than what he would have done on his main CB target.

Well not really. Our strongest XI now compared to the 2017/18 side that finished 8th is a lot, lot better. Maybe we’re regressing because we haven’t figured out how to get the side playing well yet.
Well not really.
It's because as soon as we start to have to change things up, we fall apart.
Because the squad is poor and lacks balance.
An abundance of central players who mostly want to do the same thing.
Four players all capable of playing wide left (including Gordon) but only one who offers any real directness or goal threat.
Our only real option for the right side is a left-footed playmaker and after Calvert-Lewin, our back up striker is Cenk Tosun.
And yet he’d get slated if he’d stayed, played today and didn’t scoreKean scoring again, to rub salt in
Is this a joke? Iwobi I can understand. But to write off Godfrey and Doucoure already seems premature. The near £50m he's blown on Godfrey and Doucoure should be enough to see his job in question. Add the £35m for Iwobi and he should be forced to fill in the dock with his bare forehead
How about we stop trying to play formations that require player profiles we don’t own yet then? Crazy thought, I know.

But we've played three different systems now with the majority of these squad players and they were crap.
Doucoure, Allan, James - were all clearly brought in with an idea of how to play them.
It worked at first and hopefully Richarlison coming back will help that.
But there was clearly a shift towards 4-3-3 in the summer, so why didn't we go and get in another forward, at the very least - especially with letting Kean and Walcott go. That's just a daft decision, regardless of what system we're playing.
I can't work out what we were even trying to do in the Newcastle game.Yeh, which is fine, but if we haven’t got a fully fit team then maybe 4-3-3 needs changing to suit who is available.
Newcastle game is a direct and recent example of this.
