Scandalous waste of money on players who havent improved us as a team
And cant even get any decent money from players we sell
RS got £25m for Brewster!!

Genuinely think we are cursed anyway.
If we bought Cristiano Ronaldo he would be Cristiano Ronaldo for 5-6 weeks. By week 7 Evertonitis will have kicked in and he'd be Kevin Kilbane.

Our strongest XI now compared to the 2017/18 side that finished 8th is a lot, lot better. Maybe we’re regressing because we haven’t figured out how to get the side playing well yet.

Well not really.

It's because as soon as we start to have to change things up, we fall apart.

Because the squad is poor and lacks balance.

An abundance of central players who mostly want to do the same thing.

Four players all capable of playing wide left (including Gordon) but only one who offers any real directness or goal threat.

Our only real option for the right side is a left-footed playmaker and after Calvert-Lewin, our back up striker is Cenk Tosun.

How about we stop trying to play formations that require player profiles we don’t own yet then? Crazy thought, I know.

But we've played three different systems now with the majority of these squad players and they were crap.

Doucoure, Allan, James - were all clearly brought in with an idea of how to play them.

It worked at first and hopefully Richarlison coming back will help that.

But there was clearly a shift towards 4-3-3 in the summer, so why didn't we go and get in another forward, at the very least - especially with letting Kean and Walcott go. That's just a daft decision, regardless of what system we're playing.

Yeah the squad at the end of 17/18 is a compete abomination. To go from that to one that includes Digne James Richarlison is undoubtedly an improvement.

Yeh, which is fine, but if we haven’t got a fully fit team then maybe 4-3-3 needs changing to suit who is available.

Newcastle game is a direct and recent example of this.

I can't work out what we were even trying to do in the Newcastle game.
