Corrected a lot of last year's business to improve the first team that didn't really work out.

James in place of Iwobi. Doucoure in place of Delph. Allan in place of G'Bamin. Olsen in place of Lossl.

Remains to be seen if we get someone in place of Kean.

I mean you realise all those players are still at the club, right?

So he didn't correct anything, he improved the squad.

So we have either improved or kept the same players in certain roles.

Imagine what he will do in another 2 years!

Last year we bought 3 central midfielders, 2 of which can't start frequently because of injury issues so we had to buy another 2 this year in Allan and Doucoure. We bought Iwobi to play on the wing and realized quickly that was not a good idea and have signed James to come and take his spot. We signed Lossl to provide competition for Pickford and that simply didn't happen and now we've loaned Olsen. That's what he's corrected and improved from last year.

We've improved this year, much better showing from Brands this window. It would have been nice to have improved last year too.

He's not infallible though. Trying to get rid of Bernard, Iwobi and Kean within a few years of them signing under him is the sort of thing we were hoping we were avoiding replacing Walsh with him.

Jake mate, please show me where he's tried to get rid of Iwobi? We got an offer for Bernard, which we refused.

Kean has gone out to get minutes, cos he wasn't getting any here.

We signed midfielders cos he watched Iceland and Davies last season and it made Carlo weep and he's trying his best to avoid it this season.

Delph has proven "his worth" when fit and Gmblammo has suffered 2 very serious injuries that only Mystic Meg could see coming.

I actually think we bought Iwobi to play as the furthest forward in Marco Silvas mythical 433 that never materialised, he then bottled it when needing to drop an in effective Gylfi. Delph was always going to be a 1 in 3 player, never considered he’d be a starter each week. It was just unfortunate that Gblammo exploded every time he stood on a pitch.

It's been in the papers that we were open to offers, Bascombe in the Telegraph had a list.

I know why Kean has gone, and that's fine but he was brought here to be competition with Dom and now we only have Tosun to do that and our 25 million player helping out PSG and taking selfies on the bench with Draxler.

We watched Iceland and Davies last season so much because of horrible injury luck to G'Bamin and Gomes, and Delph not staying fit for longer than 2 weeks.

Even barring the injuries to G'Bamin and Gomes you can't say last year's signings in Iwobi, Kean, Delph, and Lossl have been impressive. Going out and signing players to replace them in the team this year would say that Ancelotti agrees.

I'm as happy as everyone else with the 3 midfielders. Godfrey is an unknown to me and I could be arsed about the Olsen signing either way.

Sign Josh King and it's the best window I can remember, better than the Lukaku window. Go into the season with Tosun as back-up and my nerves will be gone every time Dom gets tackled.
