Carlo is thanks to Moshiri. I won't give Brands an ounce of credit for bringing him in because I don't for a second believe Ancelotti even knew his name before he walked through the door at Finch Farm.

Carlo is why we are in 1st place and also why we signed James and Allan.

Brands does get credit from me for the negotiations but they were only interested because of Carlo. Same thing for Richarlison under Silva.

He gets full credit from me on Doucoure and Digne.

The rest of his signings bar Gomes and Mina in spurts have largely disappointed. Questions are still around Delph, Iwobi and G'Bamin. He's now sent two of his signings out on loan because they aren't working out and we can't get the money we want back for them.

He's done OK. Not great, not bad.

Carlo takes the credit for where we are a lot more than he should.

....but the squad is too big, replacing those that leave doesn’t solve that problem.

Kean has been ineffective, moving him on doesn’t particularly weaken us although an effective striker would be welcome. If DCL is unavailable, I’m sure Richarlison plays central.

Walcott rarely plays since the introduction of Rodriguez and there’s sufficient cover in wide areas with Gordon, Iwobi and Bernard if required.

We’ve had a bloated squads for far too long. Can’t be good for the team when there’s about 8 or 9 lads who are never playing and are training for nothing.
