In that case your impersonation of a loyal and passionate supporter is risible and slightly nauseating, frankly.
Ive been to probably close to a thousand games over the decades, every important game, pre season in foreign lands etc.

But Im not going to go to many when we are bamg mid table, nothing to play for, with completely gutless players and a useless manger.

Personally still on the fence about him,the players he has brought in have been decent, but there needs to be a Kante or such like,a player thats under the radar,I also expected a DOF to make a clean sweep of the whole academy/youth set up,which he may still do but it seems rather neglected as a way to set up a long term project
You dreaming mate. Analyse what we have and its not very good.

You dont suddenely find a `world class' centre mid from nowhere lol.

Also, our under 23's win the league every year and we have produced more youth players than most in recent years,

But, you have to get very lucky to find a true top 6 class youngster coming through.

Also, the gutlessness of the players is exemplified when they decide to perform at the end of season when there is nothing to play for, no pressure and contracts are up for grabs.

You see the top players producing all season, especially early season to get their teams in a position to compete in all competitions.

You must be ancient then as we’ve been bang average since the 80’s so you can’t have been to many games since then.

Loved it from mid 70's. We were generally rank, but finished 2nd and beat Liverpool on occassions which we dont now. Plenty of heart displayed week in week out - worth going.

80's started dismally but still made cup semis etc and ended up in glory. Worth going, players were committed.

90's a bad dream apart from cup win, the last day relegation wins were a buzz and showed the club still had a soul.
Won some big gamed when it mattered - worth going.

00's we beat all the crap teams at home, we were pathetic away against anything decent and in big cup games. Generally thought Moyes was overrated and didnt enjoy it. Started to lessen my long trips to home and away games.

Last few years - massive investment has seen huge transfer fees and a chance to compete at the top table again.
But we spent it on generally completely gutless, mentally and physically weak players with no heart for this club.
Couple that with managers of dubious ablility, the sacking of one doing a good job (would never have happened 20 years previous) and and we end up with a complete joker in charge now who many want to stay until the end of the season because `there is noone out there'. I just dislike the pathy of a big chunk of our fans, the apathy and inability of our players, our appalling manager and probably useless DOF. The bad vibes and energy coming from every part of the club has finally infected me and I hardly go now.

League finishes in the 70s

1970 - Champions
1971 - 14th
1972 - 15th
1973 - 17th
1974 - 7th
1975 - 4th
1976 - 11th
1977 - 9th
1978 - 3rd
1979 - 4th

Not one second place finish after winning the title at the start of the decade and the closest we got was 3 points out in 75, the latter two finishes were were a fair way out from the champions points wise

Which manager was sacked who was doing a good job?

Inappropriate Language
Bought nothing but punks and sadness. Worse than Ste Walsh if you asked me. Kick the [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed] out

Bingham finished 7th, 4th and mid table was not good enough - got the boot.
Lee - 3rd, 4th, 9th - not good enough OUT.

Alladyce - apparantly plays nasty football but did good job here, oustanding at Bolton and good eleswhere - OUT.

Silva - (99% of evertonians wanted him over FatSam despite ZERO rational). Done next to nothing all career, finished 8th with the most expensively assembled (including relative moneywise historically) Everton team ever and now almost in relegation zone. Plenty want to keep him. Tells you all you need to know about our supporters these days and the culture of underachivement within its walls compared to its glorious past.

Doing a good job would have been getting the club into Europe, Allardyce had no intention of doing that, we slept walked to 8th when the chance was there to better what Koeman done and finish top 6

The 99% wanting Silva is a load of bull as well, there was at least a 50/50 split based on his times at Hull and Watford

Would love a job like his..ZERO qualifications...ZERO accountability...ZERO experience of operating in the real world but on mega $$$...

Its Saturday night, the lemo is in, the ale is locked down and its time for
