We need to be fair and judge the window as a whole, and if we do that he still comes out of it in credit thanks to securing Gomes and bringing in Kean

But yes, it'd be nice if the hero worship cooled off a little and we could discuss him in a more balanced way

Even if we only sign Rojo today then we have had a good window from an incoming transfer perspective (good not great), however I would be more inclined to judge Brand's performance after we know how many of Bolasie, Besic, Mirralas & Niasse are still here at the end of the European transfer winow. I think for it still to be considered a good window it has to be a maximum of 1.

If thing's dont go to plan - maybe this will be a lesson to just get the business done for the key players/targets and not arse around until deadline day looking to always get a bargain deal.

If your key targets don't become available your plan b list have to be as good as what we already have otherwise it is pointless so we have to continue the search in January.
