My view is that he was waiting to see how the Pedro from Fluimenese recovered from his injury and will buy him in June
I’m not sure if a view and a fervent hope are the same thing.
Man Utd getting linked with him

I agree with this. Just give them away. We'd still save tons on their wages.Brands has to get the best deal possible . Some of those players I would actually give away for free if it meant we didn’t have to pay them that’s how bad they are.
There's one player on that at Everton. The rest on loan get berween 25k-70k.Is he also on 120k a week?
In a nutshell i think that\s what Brands will do with many. As said, I have zero faith in Brands on outgoings. I see no reason to hold that faith, given his failure so far to shift players out permanently for a fee.Brands has to get the best deal possible . Some of those players I would actually give away for free if it meant we didn’t have to pay them that’s how bad they are.
If a club has say 35m for a player they can go and buy him for 25m and pay him 2m a year over 5 years. If they have that and want to buy bolasie , to match his wages is going to be 4m a year Handel the fee has to be lowered in order to stay on budget. You also have the fact that everyone knows we don’t want him and that he’s not prem standard and that he couldn’t even nail down a place in a championship team so basically for anyone to gamble on him we need to sell him at a massive loss
You can only get what some one is willing to pay otherwise we are stuck with them until their contracts expire, darn it Dave you should know that.
Jelavic £7M.....5 years ago; Naismith £9M...3 years ago; Cleverley £8M...2 years ago. And prices for ordinary players like that have sky-rocketed since.
There's hundreds of clubs out there ready to be persuaded by Brands. That's a part of his work he has shown no aptitude for and where needs to step up.
If they were on ridiculous wages Dave, they would have went nowhere for a long time.
Why would a 30 year old Yannick Bolasie drop 50% of his wages, he’s not playing for a big move. He’s bulking up his retirement plan
Wages my friend. WAGES.Jelavic £7M.....5 years ago; Naismith £9M...3 years ago; Cleverley £8M...2 years ago. And prices for ordinary players like that have sky-rocketed since.

Cleverley was on £50k at Everton, a massive amount. He went to Watford and took £30K.If they were on ridiculous wages Dave, they would have went nowhere for a long time.

It's as though you and others want to hand Brands the lowest possible bar to get over.
It's his job to cut at least some of the good deals that the club has done in the past.
Why give him a free pass? It makes no sense. Let him earn any reputation he gets.
Within that range out on loan (which is what we're talking about): Bolasie/Ramirez. That's it.Incorrect Dave. At least 3 in that range.
I've made no categorical statement on that. I say only this: he's been underwhelming so far, he has it all to do this summer to persuade me and others he can do the selling part of his remit. You seem to have gone on the offensive very early re Brands.
Wouldn`t it have been a bit more prudent to wait a few weeks and see who`s getting the boot, before letting your hounds loose ?
Wages Schmages.
If he's a top DoF he'll get good deals. If not, he's not a top DoF.
FFS, I'd have Moyes back at the club in that respect: hand him the task of squeezing the shekels off buyers. He was a million times better at it than this feller Brands so far.
