I can see positives and negatives to the Brands promotion

+ve: he has obviously impressed a lot in his short time to get the position, he is well respected in the game, it makes sense to have a football person (and a competent one) in charge of all football things

-ve: it seems to have happened very quickly. If you were hired as an employee by a company and start doing really well I doubt most companies would then make you a director after 6 months - it would have to be earned with consistent performance over time and maybe we have jumped the gun by giving it up that carrot so soon. Would it have made that much difference to wait 12 or 18 months and see where we are then?
