Jesus christ echo,they've today gone with the headline "Everton sack director of football and appoint new one in same day". Makes it seem we've bloody sacked Marcel brands from the title.

I don't know enough about the inner workings of boardrooms, or the introcacies of a Directorship at a premier league Football Club to have an opinion on whether this is good or bad news.
What I do know is that Dave and all the 'Davek lights' on here are FUMING.
This leads me to believe that this is a great move which will benefit our club tremendously

Think this tallies up well with how he spoke when first appointed, he's clearly hands on with all aspects of the club. Personally I'm happy with having a real football person steering the ship. Time to move away from just being the club that gives everyone a cuddle and a day out for a nice YouTube video, i love the integrity and heart that we show as a club but i also pine for an ambitious footballing set up that's unafraid to hurt a few feelings and show real ruthless ambition. Fingers crossed this is a step toward that
