Docoure - an easy bit of guesswork due to the Silva connection.
Barbosa - Inter want rid and the press have done the rest by linking him with every top flight team in need of a striker.

Ndombele is the only wildcard here, as that link came from nowhere, but there’s nothing whatsoever to back it up.

Poker faces all around, and if we do sign anyone, we probably won’t hear anything until the deal is either done or almost over the line.

We will only sign if it's worthwhile, which is the sensible approach in January for a mid table team. Getting the wrong players in a January window just to say you signed someone, actually makes the summer business far harder.

I'm only guessing, but I'd say something will probably come up, maybe a loan for someone. We will let a few go too. Schneiderlin, Holgate probably.

It's just planning, he doesn't think he can get value for money in jan and teams are reluctant to let quality players go, he probably thinks we are on the right trajectory and where we should be and wants to be more prudent so he can get the right players for the right price in summer. Either that or we are buying another Cenk for silly money.

Thing is we and alot of other clubs Are willing to let fringe players go. So there is good value to be had.
Dowell - fringe player for us but will be considered a big signing for sheff utd.

There will be loads of fringe players at champs league sides who aren't getting a look in but desperate to play looking for a move. That's where we come in. Just cos they can't get in the barca, real or bayern team etc etc doesn't mean that they couldn't improve us.

And the short loan period puts them in the shop window meaning good attitude and performance.

Marcel needs to find players ready now, who will make an immediate impact to make a well balanced, dynamic and coherent team.

Not really that easy when you weigh it up.

I can see why the likes of Chelsea bypass their youth system just in order to compete.

Our neighbors have been able to bring a couple of real good ones through in Gomez and Alexander Arnold as the rest of the mature side is able to accommodate them.

Such a tricky job, yet reading some of the posts on here it should be a doddle apparently!

I think this might be correct. We certainly won't be paying inflated prices for PL players. Don't think that is Brands way of operating at all, so Doucoure is definitely not happening. I still feel like there is a chance we might get Lozano, though, for some reason.

Gomez came from Charlton tho £3m

He is our lookman if u will.

Thing is they seem to have a coach who can further these types on. I'm not seeing that here.. As it stands

I agree with what you are saying, not debating that at all, I meant through to their first team.

My whole original point was about the dilemma of playing youngsters. They have brought some through to their first team as they were good enough to carry them.
