Do you want him to replace Steve Walsh

I really hope we are not 'adding' another guy to feature beside Walsh. I think a large part of the reason we're in this mess is because there's been too many opinions listened to and poorly defined boundaries.

We either get this guy in with a clear charter & structure to do his work or offer the same freedoms to Walsh.

..never thought i’d vote yes, but I voted yes. I get the impression this job is too big for Walsh and he wants to concentrate on the scouting aspect. I might be wrong, but perhaps Walsh would welcome this.
I agree Eggs, Steve Walsh must be out of his comfort zone.

If he genuinely is a good talent spotter, that's the job he should be doing for us.

To my mind, a DoF should be someone devising a/the strategy by which the club as a whole endeavours to play to... from the youngest kids right through to the first team, so that players can smoothly move up the ladder of progression knowing moreorless how the next level plays.

I have no idea if it's normal procedure, to have two men in the DOF chair.

It seem a bit overkill, regarding what Walsh was supposed to do, for the last six months, namely scout a LB and a striker.

It just add to my confusion, about the board management, and the spendings.

He`s still got a few stamps to get in his passport yet, give him a chance

I said as much a while back mate. I'd have no problem with Walsh being head of recruitment under a proper sporting director.

This fella looks very impressive. He's done wonders at a big club with high expectations in their league like PSV but also taken a decent side and turned them into the top of their league with Alkmaar. Both are skills we'd be looking for.

You can't doubt Walshs eye for a player. What you can do is his squad management. He looks happy to me being a bit more old school, getting close to a manager and being in and around the dressing room. It's not an ideal role, but given his eye for players is happily make an exception.
