Manchester United

I suppose they reason that Gasner plays a 3-4-3 as well, but they don't seem to get that playing counter-attacking football is okay for Palace as they're often the underdog. At United, that approach isn't accepted, and so the system doesn't really work.
It’s reactive vs proactive football really, CP isn’t ManYoo or vice versa but big difference for me will continue to be that Glazers aren’t motivated by the sporting side of football. And the club doesn’t really have a style/philosophy despite a past history of trophies and as we can see with a pending 12th coach to eventually be named in 13 years post-SAF, those with a say do not know what they are doing

In the Amorim experiment, 250M in expenditures tied to 30M in coaching costs means just below 300M in 14M…that follows 600M under Ten Hag, 400M with Ole, 400M with Mou & 300M with Van Gaal. If nothing else, Moyes will be able to make a case that he only was afforded a fraction of what everyone else got (less than 65M)

I don’t see how ManYoo can course correct under its structure since it continues to generate revenue despite treading sporting success - marketing behemoth vs football club. Moreover, why would the Glazers even be motivated to do more than they are doing anyway

Look what happened the minute the Qataris rid themselves of prima donnas and hired a no nonsense coach

The problem, going from his “manager not coach” rant yesterday, is he’s not getting input into player purchases.
It is clear he wants players to play in a specific way, the way they hired him for, and the recruitment dept keeps trying to force his hand by buying players for a different formation.

It’s ended up with Amorim being sacked for other peoples terrible decisions.
