I suppose they reason that Gasner plays a 3-4-3 as well, but they don't seem to get that playing counter-attacking football is okay for Palace as they're often the underdog. At United, that approach isn't accepted, and so the system doesn't really work.

It’s reactive vs proactive football really, CP isn’t ManYoo or vice versa but big difference for me will continue to be that Glazers aren’t motivated by the sporting side of football. The problem, going from his “manager not coach” rant yesterday, is he’s not getting input into player purchases.
It is clear he wants players to play in a specific way, the way they hired him for, and the recruitment dept keeps trying to force his hand by buying players for a different formation.

It’s ended up with Amorim being sacked for other peoples terrible decisions.
