with fans protesting and I fully agree with the protests about the SL but no need to smash things up.
That's just mindless violence. As for Liverpool they just a disgrace from top to bottom. This is their official statement
about yesterday:

I genuinely wonder what the reaction would have been should the Liverpool coach had bottles and rocks thrown at it yesterday. Was quasi hoping to see it with nobody getting hurt obviously just to see how they could spin it because seeing naked hypocrisy on display always makes my day.

I have zero respect for their supporters. They are identical to Liverpool's.
They go around smashing things up, doing what they want with impunity
and getting away with it because 'we are Man United and we do what we want' and

to be all about them all of the time. If United needed to win yesterday's game to go
level with City at the top of the league does anyone believe that the protest would have

On this occasion, I'm going to give credit where credit's due to our neighbours.
Restraint isn't something we normally associate with their narcissistic fans but so far, that's what they've shown.
I'm not the biggest fan of Merseyside Police and I hold no affection for the area around the cesspit.
However, I have no desire to see police and stewards injured and the area trashed with bottles, flares, fences, etc. just because a few neanderthals think they have a valid gripe.
Manure really showed their true colours yesterday and dragged football back into the 80s for an afternoon.

I honestly believe the majority did it for the right reasons, as usual though there are some that piggy back on to that and cause trouble for their own attention seeking reasons.

What happened yesterday was not even close to the 80s, nowhere near. It was a few thousand ambling around, protesting, some of whom walked into the ground, not stormed.

And as for the area being trashed, Gwladys Street at 6pm on a Saturday matchday is in far worse state.

I dont think anybody doubts the one or two idiots throwing things should be arrested,

The difference with Liverpool is though, they are not protesting when they launch bottles, they are just hurling racist abuse at Spanish people, and people around and then online just cheer them on.

Any football fan, and any United fan celebrating the criminal damage is just as culpable. I havent seen many though. Whereas lots of Liverpool fans seem to deflect from it. Im sure there are lots who are also appalled, and obviously I have nothing against those people.
