Deal was just to show there is confidence in him and avoid the incessant speculation next season with hin having only one year left, no doubt Pochettino would have been linked every day. New deal or not he’ll be under pressure to do well next season especially now that it looks like he’s getting backed in the market.

As for Pogba well Juve would love him back. It would be disgusting if he left on a free but there are numerous high profile players entering their last year of contract, they have all the power now thanks to the pandemic.
Raiola is a horrible greedy agent, only in it for the signing on fees, his two high profile clients Zlatan and Ballotelli must have moved over 20 times combined in their careers.

Chelsea were told if they wanted Haaland then Raiola and Haaland's dad wanted €20 million euros each, that's why Chelsea pulled out when they were told that Raiola wanted £34 million, that was the split with Haaland's Dad.

Lol you guys have certainly not ignored us certainly plenty of hate lol , Sancho and Varane in but we need a couple more , progress and we can do well

News just in: A bunch of football fans talking about football and some of them even have opinions about it as well.

Just stop it with the incessant kopite behaviour of spouting 20 times at complete random times, when it has no relevance to any comment or argument posted, if you do that then we can all get on.

Pogba also refusing to sign a new contract and looks to be leaving on a free next summer, pretty funny they let him go on a free to Juve then United bought him back for £89 million, where he has been pretty average for 4 seasons now, and no where near the player he was in Italy playing for the dominant team in a league where most players are on the wrong side of 30, they got tricked by his youthfulness bossing a old man's league and Juve took them to the cleaners, would look terrible and hilarious to see him leave on a free.

To be fair, Pogba was absolutely boss for France in the last World Cup.

There are two problems, as I see it. The first is United asking him to be a playmaker like Fernandes, which is not really his identity. The other is Pogba's general disinterest in rolling up his sleeves and getting his jersey dirty for 38 games. He's quite good at that, if you want a guy that does that and delivers deep-lying playmaking ability as well.

The problem there is that he'd have to be playing for a club like Madrid that would be comfortable with deploying someone else for the bulk of the regular season matches, and deploying Pogba in that role for the big-ticket league matches and the Champions League.

Pogba is unquestionably a top talent. He’s also oddly inconsistent with far less able footballers bossing him in the PL quite regularly.

The France thing is interesting. The Euros was an odd tournament as we saw some better teams that wouldn’t compete against the top sides in the PL and CL. Weaker managers and unbalanced XIs meant you saw the drop in overall quality compared to top club football.

All this led to players like Pogba playing with huge amounts of freedom - no way he gets the same kind of space at club level. The international teams are just not as well drilled. Hence why Pogba was so stunningly good at times.

Reading this thread recently is getting me annoyed about United, whereas I wasn't overly bothered by them. Either this means the pro-uniteds on this threads are tossers or there's something that's surfaced on this thread that 20 odd years of footballing dominance didn't manage to rouse.

Okay doing that it in a summer for 7 games with the best team head and shoulders in the World Cup, but over 250 games in 5 seasons at United he's done absolutely garbage, showing lazyness at times, looking disinterested and just consistent average performances.

Doesn't seem to be a clamour for a so called talent in his prime with one year left on his contract except the Parisian plastics who only want him for his social media followers.

I think they're already title contenders with Sancho and Varane. Sancho improves their attack massively and Varane does the same thing with their defense. I'm assuming it will be Maguire and Varane as first choice CBs.
