To be fair, lots of people on this forum are continually saying the same type of thing about the likes of Bolton, Blackburn, Sunderland and West Ham. 'Should batter these, they're [Poor language removed]'' type comments are rife when we play someone we consider less than us.
We have as much right to do it as that Man utd fan. Which is no right at all. Wouldn't like anyone to think that type of comment 'sums up' Everton or Evertonians

Maybe we might think "we'll batter these etc. etc." but there's no conceit in our assumption. Everton are perfectly capable of losing away to Hull (3-2) and Bolton (3-2) like Chelsea are at Wigan, The RS at Pompey, Fulham, Sunderland... We obviously feel we can win almost any game (barring perhaps away to the Big Three) and our record against "The Rest" is generally good - so we have a right to make the assumption we will beat them. I don't read many conceited comments however - you need to go the RAWK for all that - like "we will batter these 6-0" (Wolves, away - result 0-0)
BTW - Defeats so far this season: Everton 13 in 37, RS 13 in 36

Ravens - nobody cares what Ravens fan has to say. Period. Go back to Cleveland.
Skins - used to think they mattered. All they have is a silly song and some fat guys with pig noses. Don't get me wrong, 'Skins have looked really tough the last couple of seasons - shame they didn't win some silver along the way.

Well I work with a United fan and he seems to think its a matter of time until Rodwell joins them. Almost like it's done already. Of course I worked with a United fan 5 years ago who reckoned Cahill and Moyes would soon be at United.
Total tit, and I got him the sack from a 40k job. Most satisfiying.

I've no complaints about Evertonians saying we're better than Wigan or Sunderland etc. I think we are too. In the same way as I know (as you posted) That we can lose to anyone. By the same token, Utd are a better taem than us at present. I was referring more to the same type of comment which sparked the thread. I have seen some of that. Not saying it's a lot. Most people on here are well up on the'r footie (more so than I am tbh). But anyone from another club's forum could latch onto one such post and tar us all with the same brush

Not bitter at all. That's like saying "well Man U has more EPL titles, so being an Everton fan, surely you're jealous". Not really fair to play the bitter card, is it? Allegiances & fandom with true fans (as opposed dto bandwagoners) has nothing to do with titles.

Exactement. I know many Man U. fans in 'real life' who are all really sound, the odd tit here and there but generally proper football fans. neville being a case in point. What some hormonal MSN conversation is supposed to prove I have no idea??
