we still have a side when everyone is ready for selection to give anybody a game.

we really need a good cup run this season.

All if's and buts mate. If United hadn't scored them goals, they may have stepped it up a bit and scored other goals.

Our problem when we play Man U - is that we give them too much respect. They have beaten Everton more times than any other club. What does that tell you?

I am not saying we could have beaten United by playing this way or on another day, is all in the past now.

All those if and but are for the coming match, and if we could give out a similar positive performance against Hull and RS, I think we could get those much needed three points from them.

yeah we do. We have to stop sugar coating it. As danny just pointed out, our record against top 4 is terrible. Too much respect given.

We have injuries, but this is not a great United side. It was far too easy for them. My words, not Waddles.

Fair assesment I think.

Watch it mate, you may get alienated.

Going forward we do well, we look like a decent side. Once we start passing in midfield, which is why I just don't understand why Yobo insists on hoofing it at every opportunity.

Yeah, sometimes we actually played it around quite nicely in the middle of the pitch. Just upfront it all fell apart.

Well I can see how badly we need Piennar, Bilyaledinov and Arteta now.

Piennar can make them space winning runs up the left, Bilyaledinov can open defences with some nice passing and Arteta can do both.

Jagielka will be key aswell, his physical presence might be enough to just push us on.

Nevilles leadership will stop heads going down when we go 1-0 down.

Hopefully all this will be true. Deffo felt today that with a couple players different we could have put up more of a fight.

We miss Ferguson??

Losing to the better team on the day is no shame in itself, but I want to see us go down screaming, shouting, fighting.

Nearly at the bottom of the slump, nearly.....

A few more hard weeks then watch us go.

Top 15 easy :D

This

The only positive is how Yakubu and Saha linked up when they where on the pitch together, time for them to start playing together. Saha's link up play was excellent all game and Yakubu showed what's he's about when he came on. I hope he didn't hurt his heal at the end.

Other than that not much really. Cahill, Rodwell and Fellaini look knackered, Heitinga's still learning his new position and Gosling isn't good enough to be starting games at this level. Our midfield is a mess, Championship standard.

I expected it to be honest, I don't think this team is capable of winning games at the moment.

Yakubu put in a few nice passes from what I saw, but tbh i missed most of the 2nd half due to the internet being GHEY. Bit about the midfield is cack tho. Aside from Gosling they would hold their own against 75% of the Prem

The defence have been awful, United have just took the piss in that little gap between defence and midfield. We couldn't retain the ball which is suicide v United and didn't really trouble them up front.

Players were missing but we've got to get the basics right, were a bit inept at the moment.

this.

i think we got the tactics wrong in the first half , but played a bit better (no 'better' is the wrong word , - we didnt sit back as much ) in the second half in fairness.

our highlights...

lucas hit a very good long pass to saha (resulting in a string of passes greater than 2)
fellaini scored an offside goal that wasnt given
rodwell had a shot on target saved in extra time
and.....
distin ran pretty fast in man utd's half for a few seconds.

so i wasnt impressed but a loss of points to the champions at there home isnt that much of a shocker.

i just hope our fortunes change and the football improoves in our next 2 games.

gutted.

more money down the pan.

although in the period since getting my tickets i have been fearing a bigger drubbing.

it all went a bit 80's in there as well with the lids singing the song that we shouldn't sing before the game, i commented that it was one way to guarantee a kicking, ces security have a lot of ushoiteds former bad lads as employees, it's my guess that it was those that arrived to kick off during the game, the lids didn't back down though and when the coppers arrived they seemed to take a kickin as well(all video'd).

there was even a chorus of 'the song' during the game, to the ushoited fans we are no better than r/s, it really shouldn't be sang these days. just stick to givin' it to the fat little knobhead.

another nothing performance where damage limitation seems to be the tactic as there was nothing upfront until the yak came on.

Is that the real Evertonian then? I know we try and get away from that, but I hear that it's the away fans who are the true fans. Not really covering themselves in glory.

i found it embarrasing and hoped my lad didnt ask for an explanation of what it was about.
the stewards seemed to go in heavy and were bowling people down the steps, thats when it all went off, i texted a manc mate in the stretford end and he said, "good, tell them to knock the [Poor language removed] out of the stewards" as they are very disliked by the ushoited fans. the cops came back with full helmets on in the 2nd half as they didnt have them on when they seemed to take a battering.

In all of my years as an Evertonian I have never seen such a spineless gutless display as the one this evening. The team appeared defeated before they even kicked off !

from the o.s., taken from n.o.t.w.

United had chances galore, with Wayne Rooney skewing wide when he most likely wanted to skewer Everton's supporters in response to their obsence chants.
It is the same song directed by Evertonians at Steven Gerrard and Rooney is the latest target.

it's Adebayors
it's Adebayors
rooneys baby
it's Adebayors

that baby is yours
that baby is yours
it's so fukcin ugly
that baby is yours

yet again n.o.t.w. get their facts wrong.

grim boiled eggs........

defend defend defend defend.. attack get back an defend.. proper lackin a spine yesterday.. were was the yak from the start:huh: anyway next match one game at a time... we should see a more determined team next home game if they cant rise to that then im a polar bear with no ice.......:P :P :P
