...shame for Holgate, he was my MoM to that point but I think it illustrates what some us fear that he'd be a risk at CB.

Feels a bit like glorious failure but a top side has the ability to create chances against 10 men continually pushing forward. That is still where we're lacking. I thought we missed a trick not bringing Lookman on for Rooney. I fear Rooney isn't seeing games out and looks absolutely dead on his feet in the latter stages of games.

This should have been the first sub period IMO.

No one should take too much stock in it but Klaassen and Sigurdsson seemed a little lost out of possession. Something Koeman needs to work with them on.

I would have taken a draw before the game. Now I am gutted.
However we did that with a team still getting to know each other. Can improve a lot, but there are the raw materials to do so.
DCL was great, Pickford pulled off a great save towards the end, and but for one bad error, Holgate had a good game as well.

That second half was criminal. FFS we had them there to pile up a big score against.

And don't get me started on the Davies sub for Klaassen.

Davies never turned up tonight. Would have put Lookman on for him though and dropped Rooney even further back

Christ Dave there wasn't a peep out of you when we were leading
We concede and you're all over it like crabs on a prossie
We get a point away to a team with a 180/90 m net spend ( which in your eyes is the only real sign of improvement) and you complain.
All real Everton fans would have taken that point before the game started.
Let's face it , they have quality players and a wage bill we can only dream of and you moan we only drew
I know they had 10 men for 55 mins but very few teams will take anything away from the Ethiad this season

I don't think it was the subs or change in formation that did us there, I literally thought that they were just far better than us even with 10. They are ridiculous going forward.
