I'll tell you what our players today should watch Joe Royles side in the 90s they knew how to fight, I remember one game against Blackburn we lost, we went down 2-0 then got one back and the way the team fought for the equaliser left me feeling proud to be an Everton fan, we did lose 2-1 but I could except the loss because the fight and passion was there. It's nowhere to be seen now.

I remember it - 1-0 down after 13 seconds, 2-0 down after 6 minutes, then we just laid siege for the rest of the game. I remember MOTD doing a closing montage of a prolongued goal mouth scramble we had against them, played in slow motion to some bombastic classical music. It was frustrating at times, but I absolutely loved that team. It just had character and commitment coursing through it, added to a real touch of quality in some areas.

I'd kick Martinez out right now but I'm being knee jerk. Need to stay calm and collected and refocus on the cup for the weekend. At least we will win against Carlisle !!

Symbolic moment for me was Kone chesting the ball down, falling over, then watching City break away and score...
Symbolic moment for me came just before that when he took deulefeu off, brought Kone on and completely abandoned any cover on our right flank ... Wasn't like Bournemouth, Norwich or anything like that ... Oh wait.

A lot of you are blaming Roberto. But hold on..... Bill: have you found us a buyer yet? You've been trying for ten years you tell us, but Roberto has had two and a half years in the job with limited resources.

So let's get things in perspective, eh? Because as far as i'm concerned we're just two or three players away from a top class side. That's assuming that Bill finds us a buyer by the end of the season, of course, otherwise it's a complete rebuild job.

So, we buy 2 or 3 players and still play the same tactics - so still conceding silly goals and pissing about with it at the back. Yeah,, brilliant.

I'm sure we're now certain to win the FA cup so we can excuse relegation form in the league for a while longer and keep the myth going. Our names on the cup lads.

Yes your correct, we could do with a Barry Horne or a Joe Parkinson now, hard good footballers.

Did you see him waving the imaginary yellow card to the ref to book one of our players

[Poor language removed], utter [Poor language removed]. The ref hadn't even spoken to robles for time wasting! It's disgusting and disrespectful to your fellow professionals when players do it. But an elderly man like him, i mean come on, something should be done about that, what kind of example is that for kids?

But this is just arrogance of someone who has no respect.

"They scored at 1-0 and it was a clear foul. If you think because of that ball [Sterling to de Bruyne], that is not why we won.

"We won because we scored three goals and Everton had just one chance."

There's no professionalism in football anymore, we're a credit to the sport and have been for the last 15/20 years given our finances, he's clearly forgot the one on one deula had and the fact we were easily the best team in the first leg and deserved more than a 1 goal cushion. All the managers of the top sides these days are pig ignorant and give any credit where it is due.
