..my son has just told me he's going to a concert there this Saturday.

Weird mate but the place when it reopens will be the safest place anyone could go in the country, such is always the way after something like that.

Can understand your concern though, the Mrs in law is still worrying non stop about me and the wife going St Petersberg next week after they had a similar attack happen there recently

Let's try not to jump to any conclusions, despite what may be forthcoming in the news (edit: Have just read that Isis has claimed responsibility - which is what we were all thinking). First and foremost this country needs stronger leadership and a genuine desire to rid the country of terrorists. Voting for the Tories who'll provide even fewer policemen and women on the streets is no way to achieve this. I have a strong dislike for Jeremy Corbyn, but please #VoteLabour.

There are no answers really so it will continue to happen.Sadly I fear world war one day again with factions of the Muslim race being as bad as the Nazi's, only on a more widespread scale.

Then with no offence meant you are being foolish mate

World Wars are started when great powers push against each other, they are not started by acts of terrorism on civilians

Please, for goodness sake, don't try and politicise the deaths of small children.

I am angrier than a box of frogs at the position our Government(s) take on terrorism.

I am sick of all this "we've stopped this attack" nonsense.. What we should be doing, but they are too craven to do it is:

Monitor EVERYTHING - social media, phones etc. AND DO IT WITHOUT anyone's approval AND WITHOUT TELLING US "we might do this" or "we might do that". JFDI
Take out people - by whatever means - without press coverage - JFDI
STFU and do the job.. no warnings of "imminent this" or "imminent that" - stay 2 steps ahead of these b*stards. JFDI

No more sh1t from the state - eliminate the threat. It's my family they should be protecting and they should do what needs to be done.

It's a miracle so far these pieces of s..t haven't targeted a shopping centre or airport full of families and kids or a hospital or something.

You do that and you have single handedly removed all the premises about a free society and democracy - which is exactly what terrorists hate about the west/democratic societies.

Every dictatorship in history followed the premises of what you have suggested

Absolutely absurd to even suggest that mate

..I think it's a day off from political messages.

We go over the same ground every time there is another terrorist attack in this country. Prime Minister (bitch) will come out and call it appalling sickening cowardly etc etc but untill we stop bowing to the PC brigade and fearing being branded racist (Rochdale and Rotherham springs to mind) then it will continue to happen.Sadly its becoming more frequent now.

At a time like this and on a subject as sensitive as this, kindly refrain from needless name calling - whether you approve or not of the current PM is hardly conducive to the matter at hand.

No need for this whatsoever. Shameful post.

Some people... are ridiculous.

I've seen copious tweets all over the shop about "deport all muslims".

Such a sad tragic event, and somehow, the uneducated bigots rise, and make disgraceful accusations about a group of people.
ISIS is not Muslim, and everyone should know that.

Meanwhile, if the rumour is true that the reason the Arndale was evacuated because someone deliberately left a bag there, then I absolutely despair. Talk about bad taste.

Full credit to the locals who have absolutely reacted amazingly, supporting, welcoming and even to our own, who've been offering to assist aswell. Great on them, a real credit to Britain.

Seriously? Come off it, you're putting Muslims in the same sentence as Nazis? Most Muslims are peaceful and condone any sort of violence. This is Islamist extremists you are thinking of, completely different. Also how do we know this guy was a from an Islamic background? No details have been released about the psychopath who caused this mortifying tragedy.

Things like this brings out both the best of people and the worst of others mate, sad

The guy who was arrested was a 23 year old white man who I'm guessing was another psycho trying to get his claim to fame. Was the package a dummy?
