Mr Burnham said: “Following incidents in the run-up to the footage people have seen, four individuals were arrested and are now on police bail. It is frustrating that we have not been able to put more video into the public domain but that is because this is a live investigation.

“People now need to step back and allow the IOPC’s [Independent Office for Police Conduct’s) criminal investigation into the officer’s conduct to move forward, alongside the parallel GMP investigation into other potential offences, so that a complete picture can be presented.

“Given all these investigations are ongoing, it would not be appropriate to comment further.”

He told Sky News on Sunday: “It’s a complicated situation, a very violent situation, actually, and there were issues on both sides.

“That’s why I asked other people not to rush to judgement because of the complexity of it and, simply, everyone who’s having their say, nobody has got all of the facts. Nobody is in possession of the complete picture.”

I disagree, fair comments for me.

You are free to see it differently.
But he said before the second video that people need to step back and be quiet about this until it's investigated...next couple of days he's out in front of the media crowing about this 2nd video (illegitimately leaked and gained, btw).

The feller's all over the place and he'll be very lucky not to face a backlash from the massive Muslim electorate of GM.

Its a criminal case.

Is it any wonder we havent had 20 camera angles yet of each incident.

What are you even chatting here Dave?
That fact hasn't prevented 3 videos leaking, a statement that came out of the blocks faster than a prime Colin Jackson, and now a request for other footage (marking their own homework?).

re vecna, yes, but that guy is more Phd's than just one life can allow.

I cant help you lads, you are both too far gone on this matter.

Andy Burnhams job atm is to stop somebody from burning his City down, lets support him in that action.

Burnham: he's made a fool of himself. All he needed to do was to say an inquiry will be formed and report back. But he couldn't help himself getting involved on the side of the coppers.

He'll pay for that politically.

Everything i've seen so far suggests people are patting him on the back.

I was disappointed initially that he didn't criticise the Officer more, but Burnham had also seen both incidents which the rest of us hadn't and that provides more context. The 2 lads assaulting the Officers certainly hadn't just had some minor scuffles where things got out of hand. These were vicious and violent assaults.

As i've repeatedly been saying in the Met Police thread though, there was no justification for the Officer to carry out his revenge attack on both men given they had both been tasered and subdued.

Burnham used some tactful comments though, unlike that scumbag Lee Anderson, who yet again has genuinely made a fool of himself, except to his cult like right wing supporters.

He probably had access to the official airport cameras 2nd video legit. (you can tell by height of the angle).
Why the need for other vids in an international airport on behalf of the public is what I'm worried with here now.
Airline says no incident in departing the plane.
Rambo is probably going to face the full force of the law to show that the law is applicable and will be applied to individual criminals in uniform. His career will speak for severity. If there's a list of complaints against him for violence, a judge will down him. If he's been a standup plod up until this moment (un feckin likely!) then a much less severe reprimand. I don't reckon they can let him off here, he's absolutely bang to rights. It shows all communities the law applies to all.
It's why 30p lee jumped on it instantly, to whip up outrage. Race baiting.

The men that assault the cops should face court and be sent down.

The cop should lose his job. We can't be having them handing out their own justice and revenge attacks.

"Don't jump to conclusions" as a man on the deck gets volleyed in the head.

Had a bad week old Burnham.
He's had a nightmare.

Getting behind a police force that's clearly out of control, not just with this incident but others. It's as bad as the Met.

It's that type of instinct that saw him trounced in the Labour leadership (when Labour was Labour) a few years ago.

He's a careerist.

His biggest interest in Greater Manchester is to hand out incentives to private developers - he's the darling of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

A big price will be paid by Burnham.
