The funny part is the point is to get the ball forward and settle in without being exposed or conceding right away

If you do the same thing EVERY single time it becomes predictable and quite easy to defend. Funny, I thought the goal was to not let your opponent have the ball for as much as possible and to do, you know, things with the ball when you do.
