Reading some of he comments in the match thread you'd think we'd lost. I seem to recall most here thought we'd get beat, if not overwhelmed tonight. I was confident that we are strong enough to compete and correctly predicted 1-1. OK, I'm disappointed we let it slip, but come on!

DCL for me by the way

It's pretty obvious to me. You won't see a much better performance from a young forward isolated against three defenders. We should have brought him some support as he was winning everything in the air. Could have easily gotten a second if we did as Dom was giving them the business.

Major league disappointed in us being hammered despite them having 10 men for over an hour, yet satisfied with the result. This is in the knowledge that Koeman clearly desperately feels like the squad requires two more players and we're very much a work in progress. Missing Coleman, Bolasie and Sandro who'd definitely have given City something to think about today, and should have a very good striker brought in before end of transfer window. Thought Jagielka and Williams were rock solid today, fair play to the pair of them, and Keane was calm and strong too. The team needs to gel, and it's going to be even harder with Koeman having to chop and change as he is forced to at the minute as he doesn't have all of the players in that he wants yet. It feels like a defeat because we held out so long, and it is disappointing because even though I knew we'd concede due to all of that pressure, a part of me was watching the clock hoping we'd hold out. But never mind, a good point with nowhere near our strongest eleven out there and hopefully qualification to the Europa League to come and then another dogged performance against the champions on Sunday. Onwards and upwards.

Lots of great performances. Holgate played well shame his header led to the goal. DCL.. wow great game. Really impressed! Shame we couldn't pass it out from the back better. Really need a better option in defence who isn't rushed in possession.

DCL was awesome tonight, he was everywhere, Holgate and Jags did well, Rooney before he tired was very impressive. Pickford looks really assured and calm. This are looking positive, once things start to gel it should hopefully get even better.

thank goodness cu cu was not on the pitch - feel sorry for Holgate great game and because of match practice, an error marked sane out of the game to get him subbed - 1-1 was a good result !
at the end of day Joey, 1-1 at their place is ok. I think Holgate made an error that Cuco wouldn't have which probably cost us 2 points. Further, I suggest with Cuco playing, we would have got more than one goal.

Imagine the difference sandro would have made as opposed to Davies in his advanced position. He would have had the speed to win DCL's knock downs.

I watched 77mins, then the taxi came to take me to the airport...I get to the airport to find not only did we manage to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory but my flight has been put back 12hrs, yet I still have a smile on my face...Life and Football, both funny old games.
