Lets hope this doesnt derail Citys season and they go on to lose the cup final to Villa taking one of those European spots off the table.

Lets also hope we sort ourselves out and end our dismal run against teams like Arsenal, Chelsea and the Kopites.

Oh come on mate.

You think the League are going to fix it from now until May so that United finish 5th?

Even you can’t believe that.

I think if we got in a tussle for fifth with one of United Arsenal Or Spurs then we’d amazingly find ourselves on the end of some questionable refereeing decisions to be edged out. I absolutely believe that to be the most likely scenario. Hopefully if we continue this good form and the others stay inconsistent that scenario wouldn’t come about. There were a few seasons back under Moyes where us Villa or Spurs were pushing Arsenal for 4th and Arsenal were just airlifted into it getting penalties most games.

Do you really think Uefa or the premier league want representation in the CL from Leicester Everton and Wolves or from United Arsenal Chelsea?

They’ll get off, Scot free but we will be kicked out of the FA because of the £30M stadium naming option, which will be agreed by FIFA, UEFA and every court of arbitration on the planet as the most heinous crime ever perpetrated in world football. Goodison will be levelled, all our players and management staff will be given to the RS and Finch Farm will be turned into the Tory Parties storage facility for propaganda leaflets related to the ‘Northern Powerhouse’. To polish everything off, Klopp will be given a peerage And every RS player a knighthood when it transpires that it was them who grassed us up.
That would have been funny if it were not for the fact that the club has already spoken to the FA about this naming option ,they did it before the deal was announced

The fa have to take some of the blame for this, whatever happened to their FFP rules , personally I would have thrown the England national side out of all competitions until the FA make all teams comply with UEFA rules.

This makes things kinda interesting...

I'd assumed City would appeal, and the ban would be delayed by a year while the appeal went through.... But City would 100% want any PL point deduction to take effect this season (because what's the difference between losing the league by 20pts and losing it by 30pts... whereas an appeal would potentially delay that too.
You didn’t think k that through did you

This could be good for us in the short term but is concerning long term. There is a very good article from Martin Samuel in the Mail talking about the driver for FFP being to maintain the established order.

City have been singled out when it is clear some of the more established clubs have also been up to no good. Where have Inter Milan and Juventus suddenly got all there money from. There does not seem to be any punishment for clubs like United who are loaded with debt but still are able to go out and spend huge sums.

Basically it is pretty much impossible now for a club like us to join the top table. The best we can ever hope for is a one off season like a Leicester scenario.

I think they’re likely to win their appeal at CAS, and it could well drag on, in which case the suspension will be held off until the appeal process is completed.

If they don’t win at CAS, then they’ll take UEFA to the courts imo, and challenge the entire legal premise of FFP.

I think the excitement about their ban is very premature, I’ll be amazed it it ever happens, and absolutely flabbergasted if it’s next season.
I think FFP will soon crumble and the rules changed to actual fair rules maybe that no club can spend more than X amount on player transfers and no team can spend more than Y amount on salaries. That would be fair play the way it is now is the opposite of fair.

They said on Sky Sports News this morning, that if Villa lost, the European place would go to a team according to league position. Villa will only get into Europe if they win the Cup.

Inter are owned by a Chinese conglomerate.

And Juve are owned by the Agnelli family who who own Fiat group including Ferrari Maserati etc.

Both clubs are 2 of the biggest three in Italy and haven't been found guilty of FFP breaches like the other big club in Italy AC Milan who are into a first season of a 2 year ban for FFP breaches.

City are owned by a state who have constantly financially doped and have been found guilty TWICE now by UEFA.

Not only did they have over inflated commercial deals, they have created 2 company houses to bring the wage bill down and lower the wages to turnover percentage down to stop UEFA investigating them, and they as we now know also created a vehicle in a tax haven Carribean country that they sold image rights to then used that vehicle to pay them money back to into the club coffers to cover their massive losses, HRMC are looking into this offshore company apparently as it seems players and club haven't been paying any taxes on the image rights.

That piece by Martin Samuel is absolutely spot on.
