FFP is basically a tool to keep the top teams at the top,if there was a limit on transfers, say a maximum of £150m per season and a set wage budget per season it would level the playing field a fair bit,but the aim is to keep certain clubs at the top table
Why do we want budgets? The only way we catch anybody is if spending is increased.
City and us are the only clubs who spend money anymore. No other owners in the league bother.
So could these fans not watch both the breakaway league AND the premier league?Don't see why the definition matters?
TV broadcasters care how many people watch your matches and sponsors care about how many people they reach through their investment.
If City wins (or the punishment becomes so watered down that they may as well have), that would be tantamount to CAS saying that leagues may not regulate. If you can't punish the member clubs for accounting fraud, what can you punish them for?
City's best hope is probably a reduction in the postseason ban to a single year.

They could.. I guess it depends on how you can view it, unless it's included with a package you already have then yes but I'd imagine that any break away league will have its own streaming channel much more money to be made that way. So if your team were in a competition that can only be viewed 1 way are you going to keep other subscriptions where you'll never see your team?So could these fans not watch both the breakaway league AND the premier league?
2 year ban will be a 1 year ban on appeal. Even if they get a points deduction it makes no difference this season. If city had further evidence to prove their innocence surely they would have revealed that during the inquiry process. I don't think they're gonna get off with this one.
I agree that they may possibly get a reduction to one year but they do have previous for financial misdemeanours so I think uefa may not be so kind to them.2 year ban will be a 1 year ban on appeal. Even if they get a points deduction it makes no difference this season.
They will have to sell players though to balance out the losses and pep will probably leave at the end of the season.
Almost esk like in its detail loloh, an expert has spoken
They would if they invested in dodgy doctors lolThey haven’t fixed a 25 point lead ffs.
I hate them as much as the next blue, but City wouldn’t haven’t kept pace all year.
Have to disagree strongly thereYup.
CAS will rule in their favour and FFP will be killed.
Which isn't a bad thing for us like with our mate in the shadows. lol lol
