Just compare him to our goalkeeper of the last 5 years, Tim Howard. He's about five times better. He's started the season brilliantly and deserves to be starting. I was very sceptical when he joined but he's done very well so far and I hope he keeps it up. May prove to be a very shrewd deal.

yes challenges for places is vital especially in that department to keep him on his toes and on top of his game.

tim howard went stale fast due to lack of competition.

After 3 years as a reserve keeper, I'd say 3 good league games is too small as a sample size before I'd want to back him as our number 1

Delighted at his early performances but I think I'd be happier signing another keeper too just in case.

That's very narrow sighted with regards to what a goalkeeper does. He was part of the reason they had so few attempts on target.

How can a keeper stop them having any attempts? Surely that's the defender
