Arriving in amsterdam today. Debating whether to travel on to lyon. You reckon 3 hours or so on trains? Or is that lille to lyon? #lackofgeography

3hrs is the Lille to lyon part. Just over 6 1/2hrs including changeover in Lille.

Just had a walk down Place Bellecour, the main square here, there aren't many bars around there ... infact I didnt find a single bar there (I did only walk down one side of it like because it's huge).

Just in the old town having a pint now.

Yep, between 6 and 7 hours, with a change at Brussels or Paris.

I flew in from Heathrow this morning. Where are all the blues heading tonight? There are a couple if Irish bars in the centre which is always a good shout for a European away!!

Lyon is a splendid city......super Bridges across the river.

I saw a lovely big Gothic cathedral in the distance so I will go there tomorrow.

There seems to be a mini Eiffel Tower as well.

But coming in on the Rhône Express one passes a refugee camp and it is heartbreaking seeing the people all sat outside tents.
