@Moomin

I watched @rascal's video before, some of the goals he scored for us this season where golden. Both feet and headers.

I dont care what he costs i'll sell me nan to get him in a number 9 shirt.

If we have any chance of signing Lukaku and we don't act upon it before he goes on to break goalscoring records and fulfils his massive potential then i will be sad.

Only watched the first of the three, but I was just thinking, he's not really a number 9 is he? He's a good target but he's not great with his back to goal, most of his goals came from dribbling it up or getting on the end of crosses. I think if he improves his footwork he could be an absolutely deadly number 10 a la Cahill.

think it's almost impossible to snap him up now, he's concentrating on leading his country's strike line in his first WC, he hasn't got time to focus on a transfer.

i think we'd have to sell someone to be able to afford him AND the others we need to fill the squad imo.

unless we pay a stupidly low fee up front with plenty in add ons in the coming years (which is exactly what we should be thinking of).

Not in a possession based team, his 1 in 2 stat is fine, I would have backed many decent centre forwards to achieve that for us this season. I do overall like him, of course I do, but people have gone way OTT in their appraisal of him.

Personally I am all for Bony, I want us to get him signed before Brazil.

I can't understand this. Lukaku & Bony would probably cost about the same, give or take a few mill. we've got very different ideas on what the best way would be for our beloved Everton to spend their once-a-decade transfer pot.

All I will say is, waste this money (or even worse - don't spend anything) & we're screwed.

Anyone who doesn't want Romelu Lukaku at Everton most definitely engages in intimate acts with farm animals. There I said it.

Could honestly care less if his foot falls off after his first touch. Goals win games and as we've seen over the years, when we don't have an out-and-out goalscoring threat it's difficult for us to break down opposition. Without his goals I don't think we're sniffing Europe. It's also worth considering the amount of space he opens up for some of our creative players in spaces behind him.

Lukaku will be totally focused on the World Cup and rightly so. His country have a very good chance of going far having been in the wilderness for 2 decades. The lad has been passed from pillar to post by Chelsea and has proved himself able at West Brom and with us. A good barometer has been watching this U20 tournament. Rom is only a year older than alot of these lads and is head and shoulders above anything I have seen.
He isn't the finished article, but if he was, we wouldn't even have a sniff at signing him.

We will do no transfer business of any significant values until Lukaku has resolved his immediate future.

If anyone arrives before the WC, I would expect frees or young promise (Robinson, Robertson type signing)

Save everything for this lad and hope the cards fall our way.

I just can't see Lukaku joining us permanently. A loan allowed him to go and play regular first team football for a top 6 club and continue developing but I expect he will want to move to a club where CL football is assured of he leaves Chelsea.

I'm sure there must have been discussions with his agent. And I'm sure he would advise his client to wait until after the WC to see what comes up. By that point it's almost certainly too late for us.

This is where the loan system comes back and kicks u in the ass, u take a few players, these players have a great season and u gradually fall in love with them & then the season comes to an end & u realise uve just been the perfect window of advertisement on a player u have no rights over. god, i would love to see lukaku back here nxt season but the lad is so confident in his own ability he’s just waiting for all the offers to flood in and i cant see his choice being us now!.
