Did anyone see that Stoke striker yesterday? Brek Shea or something?

F*cking hell. I think we were linked with him weren't we? The worst player to play at Goodison for ten years easy. I include lower league cup games in that too.

Nearly as bad a performance as Paul McShane's when we beat Sunderland 7:1.

You exaggerate, but yes, he's dreadful. Always has been. Not sure why this belongs in a Lukaku thread though.

Exactly...without an influx of cash, I don't see how we could make the deal, even if both sides wanted to.

you mean something along the lines of the influx of cash the new tv deal is going to bring in? think the remainder for this year was roughly 20mil or so..

and during the window a whole helluva lot of people were saying 'bububu the big check isnt until the END of the season!'. well, perfect, theres the money.

Just brought it to mind mate is all. Did you see him like? Christ I could do better than him. I think he might have bribed the club into letting him play. Terrible. I mean we've had some terrible strikers in our time like Brett Angell, Joe Max-Moore and Brian McBryde but he was a different level of crap. Some doing.

Haha you act like there's not already a plan for that money to go elsewhere. The investment in Lukaku would repay itself within 2 years, but no way that's what it's earmarked for.

You really dislike Americans don't you? McBride had 4 in 8 for Everton and did very well for himself at Fulham. Brek Shea is sooooo bad though. Can't argue that at all. He belongs on an MLS bench somewhere.

oh no doubt but at that point serious questions should be raised here. Not only is the new tv deal money there they ALSO said that the McCarthy deal wasnt predicated on selling Fellaini so THAT money should be there too.

I agree with everything you're saying. The money should be there, but I just have to think there are other non player investment plans for it already. I hope I'm wrong.
