Lukaku V Kane and Barkley V Alli

???

This entire time I've been saying Kane has been playing in a better team and that should be factored in.

If you actually read those posts you've posted they all say that.

You continually refer to number of assists, penalties..even appearances!

Stick to answering the questions I put to you mate. Has Lukaku ever scored less than 4 in two PL seasons he's featured in? Has Kane scored double figures in each of his last 5 seasons. I am serious, if Kane is so good you will be able to answer these questions.

(Oh and the broken foot excuse, Lukaku also broke his foot in one of those seasons and still scored double figures).
What on earth kind of argument is this?

Kane had 14 Premier League appearances (7 as sub) total before 14/15... how can he score when he's not on a PL pitch?

Lukaku had 76 Premier League appearances before 14/15.

Think personalities are a generally dying attribute in footballers tbh

Yes but he could try closing his mouth from time to time for starters. He's particularly devoid of any personality. Ibrahimovic, Aguëro ...; all interesting personalities and then you have Kane.

When I give you data from 2 comparable seasons from teams at a similar level you palmed it off despite Kane's numbers being better.

Kane is a tremendous player, he has no real weaknesses. Lukaku is probably more of a pure goalscorer.

Alli is a proper winner, an arrogant little git, something Barkley lacks. He is a right snide though so I don't like him.

Kane and Alli were in a team that absolutely mopped the floor with us today. The scoreline was unbelievably flattering. Ross played very well, not as good as Alli. Rom scored a goal, Kane scored 2. For a forum that only looks at the amount of goals Rom has scored when judging him, we have some remarkably flexible thinkers on here

No that was a good post and a good point. It was however using two completely different seasons for each player and was several years ago.

If you want to ignore assists completely and if we want to overlook penalties (neither should be overlooked, but it seems you'd like to), Lukaku, this season is only 1 goal behind Kane despite playing in a considerably weaker side. I won't overlook the fact Kane's started 3 less games, but it wouldn't make a massive difference, looking at goals per game. If I was picky about penalties, it wouldn't look quite so good for Kane.

To me that indicates pretty clearly that Lukaku's working better with what he has. I think it's beyond doubt he'd score and assist plenty more playing with Alli and Eriksen too, so I'm in pretty much no doubt who I think is better.
