Give Lucas Digne a year or two and he has the "potential" to move to second in the list behind a true Everton great!

Different times when left backs were mainly defensive, but I'd have Phsyco Pat after Ray Wilson. Todays full backs are more like wing backs, so it's hard to compare.

I agree with this. Robertson alone created more goals and more big chances than Digne last season. I think he’s better going forward. Mendy is better than both (when fit) and is an absolute beast defensively.

In any case, Digne is exceptional and he’s up there as a top LB, it won’t surprise me if he does move on to a CL team because if any were looking for a LB, he’d be on the list. I just don’t think he’s close to those two who are a class above the rest, irrespective of the teams they play for.

We have been quite blessed at LB in the prem era, especially given how barren a period it has been for a club of this stature.

All of Hinchcliffe, Lescott, Baines and Digne could have had a rightful claim to being the best player in the league in that position.

We love a left back at Everton. It’s nice that he still goes under the radar a bit with the meeeeeeeeja and fans rating people like Chilwell and the likes above him. How absolutely wrong they are.

It is difficult. I actually preferred John Bailey to Psycho...still do. Anyone has got a long way to go to be as good as LB over so many years though. First time I saw him was away at Bolton and realised we had something very special.

From the period before I was alive - about 18 months ago, I could understand people bantering all bar about 3 players, but it ain’t that anymore, and Robertson is a quality player unfortunately

Everyone has there opinions and all entitled to them but I always say to everyone that Robertson never scores goals Digne does and scores stunners all outside the box also I would like to think if Digne was crossing or passing to the likes of mane and Salah he would have more assists and defensively I think there same but I could be biased the one thing Robertson does have tho he is younger. As for Mendey he is never fit so can’t judge
