He’s very good and if he has another couple of seasons like last year, he’s every chance of overtaking Baines as our greatest LB. But as much as we all love his delivery and set pieces, he still has his moments defensively ala Millwall (and didn’t cover himself in glory midweek either)

So for me, he’s been an amazing signing, a quality LB and I hope he stays here for a long time, but I can’t pretend he’s the best in the league, let alone the world.

"overtaking Baines as our greatest LB" - depends on how old you are of course but that should really say "overtaking Baines as our second best ever LB" but I think the concensus would be our greatest ever left back was a certain Mr Ray Wilson!

Give Lucas Digne a year or two and he has the "potential" to move to second in the list behind a true Everton great!

while he is okay at defending the game has changed so much that most LB's are recognized for attacking play, Baines was hardly a decent defender himself but going forward he was an animal.
Digne is the best LB in the league by a mile.
