Where’s this myth come from that Digne is average? French international at Barca.....

Because tierney is world class as he plays for the best team in the world in the best league against incredible opposition and would cost more. So obviously Digne is only average because he only plays for Barca and the World Cup champions.

Digne is an average player, not a bad one but this is frustrating because we had a lot of possibilities (Kenedy, Wendel, Tierney...) and he seems like the worst...

ermm, i fail to see how kenedy will have played for teams as good as barca, psg and rome within the next three years seeing as he's at newcastle and he's not even a left back anyway.

..I don’t see Kenedy being a LB in the type of set up Silva seems to prefer.

Even if he flew out the deal could still happen anyways I suppose. Contract Dave can fly out, once the deal gets sorted Digne can fly in for his medical. Until he signs he's got to do his job, business as usual.

I honestly think i'm the one who saw him play the most frequently.

He was a really good player in Lille, not that good in Paris because he was supposed to replace Maxwell (who was 34) and he didn't because of his weakness.
In Roma and Barcelona he never was indisputable

Yeah Digne was so great in French National Team that Deschamps choose a LB who never play at least ONE minute with the Squad (Lucas Hernandez)
And the other LB was Benjamin Mendy who started ... 7 games in last season.

By the way, the third choice at LB was Patrice Evra, a free agent ...

This looks like one that got away, can't blame Silva for throwing his toys out of the pram, he Sid the other day about this lad coming in a few days, seems like he is not been told the truth as the deal must be miles away for him to go to America

It amazes me the knowledge that some posters have about players in leagues all over Europe, some of these players are not even getting regular first team football for their clubs.
I had never heard of Digne up to a few days ago or the Colombian centre half until he played in the World cup.

Some people on here have far too much spare time on their hands. I am not being facetious, I am genuinely amazed with the knowledge some posters have... it doesn't mean I trust their assessment of the player

Hes played for PSG, Roma, Barca and has caps for the current World Champions.

Never watched him kick a ball myself, but fail to see how he can be as bad as you make out with that CV.
