Loyalty........

sure thing, buddy.

perhaps i have not become as jaded yet as i still jump to any players' defence. perhaps it is in the post. i have already lost any loyalty or desire to see the england team do well. the whole WAGS thing really does irritate me.

you have to ask yourself why you have come to your conclusion. i can understand an individual experience with a particular player that might tarnish the reputation of the entire squad (like coyney's experience) but is it mere jealousy? i accept the fact that they are entertainers and for the most part very good at their profession. i then therefore accept that we live in a society that rewards handsomely people who can provide this entertainment.

Quid pro quo

No mate, im not talking about jealousy (even thou id be a talking [Poor language removed] if i said i would'nt want their life). Its about them not being loyal, so we dont have to be either.

which everton players are not loyal?

i get the feeling that moyes looks carefully at a player's personality before signing him.

Well put it this way...

At the moment we have AJ who is insisting that he loves everton an doesnt want to go. But it is wigan an sunderland intrested. Its a step down.

What do you think would happen if it was say........Man Utd who wanted him an were offering the big wages?. Or even chelsea?

Im not saying he'd piss on the club. but MOST players will go if it suits them.

TBH aj is a bad example, but you get what i meen.

Well put.

Its a short career and best to grab all the bucks you can. Everton aint gunna be paying players until retirement, but my beef is that they just arent dignified.

Always looking over the fence to see if the grass is greener, agents always talking em up and rubbing their bellies to line their own pockets. Truth is players arent the smartest cats so theyll believe anything.

Isn't that what you do in life though. Strive for the best?

If someone came to me with a job that had a better wage and suited me more I'd take it. I don't see why footballers should be any different.

Ok so it was fine for Rooney to go to Utd was it?

An Barmby to the R/S?

Why the fuss then?

No loyalty mate.........get over it!!

I hate Rooney but he had to move on. We where an awful team at the time and he was too good for us. He needed to develop and Man utd was the right place for him.....not Everton. He was a world class talent and he needed nurturing in a positive enviroment. At the time that wasn't Everton. The best career move he's ever made was joining Man utd.

Barmby obviously felt Liverpool was a good career move for him. They where a better team than us and they where willing to pay bigger wages.

At the end of the day it is there jobs. When your in a job you strive for the best. It's there opinion if they think moving to Liverpool or Man utd is better for them.

Personally if someone offered me a job with better money I'd take it. Tat's the way it is. Footballers are exactly the same.

Ok, so you agree with me............Theirs no loyalty!!!

Plus i thought Moyes had done a good enough job bringing rooney through. Another year or two at everton would'nt have hurt.

As for Barmby........pure cuunt.

Agreed on Barmby.

Rooney is a hard one. Our dressing at the time was supposedly terrible. Players like Ferguson, Stubbs and Gravesen had turned against Moyes and everything was negative. Rooney also didn't have a good relationship with his manager so it's going to be hard.

If everything was fine and dandy and we where doing good in the League I'm sure he would have stayed. That wasn't the case though and I think for him it was best that he left. He was too good a player.

The reason I don't like him is because he is disreaspectful. I don't hold a grudge against him for leaving though. Just my opinion like.

That's the way I look at it.

When big clubs come knocking, there's more to it than loyalty to a club - career prospects. The players have gotta be thinking - What if I get injured, loose that extra pace, that yard etc if I stay this season? They wont want me anymore, I've missed the boat. Yeah, I'm happy here but I could've played on the big stage rather than waiting and guessing if I get to play at that stage at a club I'm at.

Its like Ronaldo now. He's peaked. Madrid want him, he loves Madrid, he wants to go because if he gets injured at Man Utd after winning everything he can with them, his dream club wont want him, he wont get his chance and there's always a better player coming over the horizon.

So you support Everton and get the chance thousands dream of actually playing for them. You know every one idolises you ,and are sure of your ability but because a has been like Stubbs(who had shares in your agent)advises you to leave . Instead of saying Ive plenty of time ill give them a season or two you agree and slander the manager and still feeling guilty and looking for excuses for being a **** you then libel the same man in your book not only insulting your childhood team but also the one of both your parents. I remember the reception his mother got at a award do from the fans money could not buy that and then you [Poor language removed] on those fans.:@

As I've said there was alot going on at the time on and off the pitch. Rooney made his decision and it's paid off. We've improved and so has he.

I don't like him, he's a disrespectful **** but I don't blame him for leaving. He was a world class talent, we where a [Poor language removed] team and he obviously had problems with Moyes and others at Everton at the time. Problems that alot of us probably don't know about.

He had to move on? Why, he wasnt evena regular starter yet for Everton and hadnt give us a full season.
If he would have give us a few yrs service there would be nowhere the amount of abuse he gets
