Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
These players, these days must be having a laugh. They get huge amouts of cash for wages. They live in huge houses, an drive cars we can only dream of. They have the fittest birds you can find. The work [Poor language removed] hrs, an live the pop-star life. The life of riley you might say.

Now us poor bastartds, work 40hr + week. Pick up [Poor language removed] money, which is taxed to fukk. Live in ok house, drive ok cars an most just keep their head above water weekin/week out. It's a hard stressfull life for most. YET.....we spend what liitle cash we have left on watching are Hero's. The boys in blue.

Thing is, you must realise most of the player could'nt give a [Poor language removed] about you. Now granted not every player is like this, but at least 90% are. They dont care whats going on at the club as long as they pick up their 40k a week plus bonus. If a better offer came in, they would go. No though of us evertonians that spend all are doe on watching them. It's all about them an what they can get.

Now getting to the point............their are a lot of people on here that are to loyal to players. e.g AJ. Now he's just plain not good enough, but because he plays for everton people say "no good player lets keep him". No lets not, get rid an get some one better in. Same with Neville really (who i do like) He's just not good enough, but people sick up for him no matter what. Forget loyalty, they dont give it to us. If their not good enough, GET RID.

To much loyalty is shown to players that aint good enough. An would leave at a drop of a hat for an extra few quid. Even players that you bring from the duldroms (barmby, keown, speed) an reserect their career.

Now as i get older, im not a fan of players. Their just to greedy an most the time just take the piss. Yakubu (not coming back from ACON) Fernanders (fukked us off at the last moment) VDM (nuff said). This all started when Keown left for Arsenal. He was my fav player, I cryed at school an was riped by the r/s. I saw his interview an it made me so mad at how much he did'nt care about us. An id given him my tears.

So loyalty for players.....i have none. The king is dead, long live the king i say. If someone wants to go. Show em' the door.

It's the club EVERTON FC i love an im totaly loyal to. Its the fans an what we stand for. That makes me go back week after week. The fans make the club not the players. So please dont let loyalty cloud you view. If we can get rid to become better, lets do it!!

You may say im a synic, i probably am!!

Hope i have'nt wasted to much of your time. What do you think.?

I think your 100% spot on, that was a great read cheers Sharpy.

sounds to me like you aren't showing anyone much loyalty there.

Sorry you feel that way teppic. But my loyalty is to the club mate. I go week in week out home an away. An really i cant afford it, but my love of everton makes sure im their. When the boys play in blue i support them with my heart mate. But i have no loyalty to them (the playes).

If their not good enough is say.I wont beat round the bush because the play for us. An if the want to go, let them go.

Hope you understarnd what i mean.

I'm of the opinion that........you sign a contract you run out the contract otherwise why sign it? Are they that worthless in todays climate? Unless compensation or buy out clauses are paid then I dont feel players should break them.

If players want to leave then let them. I dont like the idea of players being forced out of a club if they're happy.

Respect to a club is one I root for rather than Loyalty.

And by all accounts of supporters who went to Switzerland, he is happy at Everton. Being sold on is not on his agenda. He even asked the club last month to quash all the speculation.

Of course, we have a board still hoping to squirrel away all our transfer cash to help them with building a standard stadium out of town, and this is the root of Johnson's and all our problems.

Please Dave, dont turn this into a kirkby thread. Its not about that!!

I heard Kirkby was in Liverpool.

At least I heard they talk with scouse accents, which makes em scousers ie: from liverpool.

if youre synic sharpy then so am i.
these guys are living out our dream in just being able to pull on the shirt, and being paid a kings ransom for doing it as well
i wish i could afford to go and watch the blues regularly and take my kids along as well, but at the end of the day i just cant afford to.
when was the last time one of the players "couldnt afford something"? whats the collective wage of an everton matchday squad ?
what do they give back to the supporters ?
there will be people, and some will come on here as well, who never ever miss a game home or away, now those guys will not exactly be in the thousands but when has there ever been a gesture by the players towards those guys(and gals), here you go we've covered the cost of the coach and a ticket for you. it would only take once a season for it to be noticed and the whole profile of the players would be totally different. how often do the players get together and get a bunch of tickets for kids clubs/ scouts/ boys brigades etc for them to come along and have a day at the match, these are kids who very often raise money for charity, and we are talking peanuts compared to what these guys earn, we are talking about amounts that are thrown around in card schools, training ground bets etc etc. the resentment is beginning to grow from the working classes to the ones we have held as heroes and tbh they arent helping the situation.
you're right, the loyalty is to Everton and not the players, we should give them our support until we feel they dont deserve it any more, be it through betraying us, using us or in the case of some leeching off us, then they should feel the full force of our pent up anger and there should be no holding back.
they should come to Everton Football Club and realise just how much prestige is attached to pulling on that shirt, they should realise how much adoration there is from the ranked masses and they should adore those masses in return, maybe those days are long gone and we hanker after something from a by-gone time, but i think its what we all want and expect from those who earn more for an unproductive year where they hardly figure in the 1st team squad than a lot of us earn in a lifetime.

Sharpy I tend to think like that the older I get too mate.

For example, when Sepp Blatter lately called Ronaldo the equivalent of a modern day slave, almost all the other media pundits took it with a pinch of salt or said how stuipd it was. They go to Ronaldo, you expect him to laugh about it, but no, he agress that he, one of the luckiest men in the world lives the life of a slave. Pure madness!

How much would you like to get all these spoilt idiots and put them in real jobs and see what most people have to put up with.

But saying all that, there are always plenty of footballers who really appreciate what they have, players like Cahill and Carsley spring to mind.

Doesnt play for us but I'd say Paul Scholes is probably up there regarding that. Probably the most undderated and best English international midfielder and professional footballer in the modern game. Head down, keeps things on the pitch, brought through the man Utd academy, will end his career there.

If there were more like him (and your Cahill's etc) [Poor language removed] like being called a modern slave wouldnt be branded around.
