Nah, not coming. He's into WWE now.

It's not even just his (lack of) longevity. He seems to rub people up the wrong way, so when he does leave it's not always a better place than when he joined. He's had tremendous success, but I'd argue that many of his clubs have been in a position where success is fairly guaranteed.

That's not to say that Wenger is going to be around for 5+ years either, but I think he could potentially put us back on an even keel again before we get someone that could build a dynasty.

I think he can be classed as a footballing "dinosaur" now too.

The younger more dynamic managers seem to adopt a deadly fast front line hitting teams on the break. But Van Gaals, like Mourinho's, the boring approach was succesful maybe ten years ago.

You can argue that in 3 of his previous jobs (Barca, Bayern, Man U - I don't know too much about AZ) that he laid foundations for Rijkaard, Guardiola and Mourinho to build on.

Klinsmann left a mess at Bayern and he came and sorted it out, won the league and took them to a CL final. Moyes left a mess at Man U and he improved them, got them in the top 4 and won the FA Cup.

Trophies in last 3 seasons:

Van Gaal and Mourinho: 1 FA cup, 1 League cup, 1 Europa League

Klopp and Pochettino: 0.
