Complete lack of control, poor clothing choices resulting in tripping up or getting tangled in stuff, too much swearing and lots of cowering away before waving their arms around which is a really rubbish "I'm hard" pose really.

I dunno, at Newcastle today I know a few people in the BLM lot who are thoroughly decent and socially conscious. There will obviously be numpteys amongst them like.
If you join a march with the other lot you are already tainted as far as I’m concerned and very likely hold deeply questionable views. The both sides as bad as each other narrative doesn’t hold any weight with me.

Yeah I dont think we can ban them.

But police need to have zero tolerance whatsoever. Take the trouble makers off the street. Anyone who hits a police officer should do a bit of time inside.

Yes I agree the police seem to be neutered to an extent. I think the hope is these protests may burn themselves out.

It's why I had little support for the BLM rallies. If they had campaigned for an independent group to investigate racism in the police force or for increased local funding to the hardest hit communities to give black youngsters the best start in life I would have happily put my name to any petition to do so. By targeting things like statues, digging into the past and using it to show how things are still wrong because of these then sorry, no. It won't change anything and instead of trying to bridge a divide it widens it and we end up with scenes like today, it was always going to happen. I guess people on both sides tomorrow with black eyes and sore heads aren't going to think better of the opposite side than they did previously, that then permeates through their family, friends and we have just turned the clock back 10/15/20 years. Useless.

Just ban them if people try to gather just stop them gathering.
Nothing fascists about upholding law and order and defusing a situation that is growing to be out of order.
It's not a police state to keep order in some situations.
Cant just let people run amok , what about the majority who just want to go along with there lives ,without interference from a either side.
They do just that every week at the footy every week ,its nothing new or out of the ordinary.
