In the early 1930's Antifaschistische Aktion (abbreviated to antifa) was founded by the Communist Party in Germany to engage in direct action and street fights with the rising Nazi party and facism.

It has continued as such and though the far left types don't like to admit it, or internet pseudos don't understand, it is the nature of the beast. The far left do want to smash the current world order (capitalist system) meaning that far left and anarchism can be discussed interchangeably by the media etc.
That’s just one facet of a broader movement though.

Anarchism as an idea has existed for centuries. The debate on whether or not there should be a government or state has been around since the early formation of those structures.

there are parallels between communism and anarchism in that both want rid of capitalism. But to say that anarchism was borne out of communism just isn’t true. Communism is anti capitalist.

anarchism (which is a broad brush for lots of different ideas) rejects the notion of any organised structure of government. To most (but not all) fractions within that movement, that includes communism.

anarchism wasn’t borne out of communism. They just both reject capitalism. Anarchism in one form or another has been around for a lot longer.

Yes mate but Antifa is a communist movement and populated by the far left. They are the facts and all that I am saying.

Social distancing gone well out of the window by now I see. Even the police who are just hanging around do not seem to be bothering with it.

Sorry, are you saying that standing up to the actual Nazis - who had been engaging in direct action, street fights, murders and an actual coup years before "antifa" was set up - was a bad thing to do?

Hang on. Are the idiots protecting the Churchill statue giving Nazi salutes ...

Oh what a world we live in
Churchill was a 'kin scumbag, so why shouldn't he be saluted by them? His goal was to defend British colonialism, not fight fascism.

It's entirley logical that assembled right wing yahoos seek to defend the icons of slavery and colonialism.
