Current Affairs London Protests

BLM have distanced themselves and said they’re avoiding anywhere where people from the far right will be to cause trouble.
They’ve actually cancelled the Hyde park protest because they don’t want there to be a confrontation.

I wonder if they will still be blamed if there is trouble?

But that’s the problem with a lot of the left . They are scared or unwilling to call them out but more than willing to call out the far right for anything.

Its why the left lost the working class a long time ago.

Not only do they offer little help in actually pushing for equality for the lower class they have the audacity to label them as racist uneducated oinks who have white privilege.

I said a while ago the left caused Brexit as did it push the working class into the hands of the right opportunists.

I dont have a problem with the protests in the USA but over here its just opportunism for folk bored to get out the house and for the authoritarian fringe to cause anarchy.

TBF it was probably the centre-left that lost the working class. What you would call "far left" (Corbyn) tried to get them back but failed.

Yeah, there is faults in the system. The United States is a two party system, which is only one more choice than Communist China. In the UK we have FPTP system which I simply don’t believe in. There’s plenty of faults in the system.

However neither of our systems are racist.

East Asians are the most successful ethnic group in the United States. Chinese and Indian workers are earning 10,000 more than their white counterparts in the United Kingdom. I see plenty of minorities achieving and making a success of themselves. And this success is not limited to them, there are 800,000 black millionaires in the United States.

I am sending out a message that anyone can be successful. Yet you are so focused on pigeonholing a whole group of people.
You are sending out a message for the status quo to be protected, nothing else reagrdless of what your intentions may be. That will be my last word on the subject with you as to be honest I can't take your opinion seriously after posting candace owens as a credible reference, good day.

There was a post last night saying they had changed the planned demonstrations to today to about trouble. Was that just a rumour?

Avoiding hot spots is a good thing imo. I know it's a different matter but I always thought that if the lodge avoided marching in catholic areas then it would greatly reduce the risk of violence

He got millions of them back, and millions have voted for Labour throughout.

Where votes have been lost it was more because of chronic indifference (from all politicians, not just Labour) combined with decades of rubbish put out under the guise of news.

Im centre left myself mate and havent voted since the days of New Labour when they were actually half decent.

Corbyn was as useful as a chocolate fireguard in all honesty- thanks to him and his far left mates in the Labour Party we are stuck with the Tories.

I agree that anybody who condones violence and vandalism done in their name is equally as bad as the perpetrators. That applies across the board irrespective of your political stance
