With inflation being what it is you don't actually need to reduce absolute levels to impose quite significant cuts in real spending power.
Yep, that wil be the get out for her. We haven't actually cut any money. When in real terms it will have been a massacre of some budgets.
I think we can all forget this government making any financial attempt at trying to bring NHS waiting lists down, and benefits/pension will surely not rise with inflation.
Maybe chuck in a 1% pay rise next year.
Not technically lied, but still.

Given the number of pensioners who vote for them that's usually the last thing that gets cut. It would require them to get rid of the triple lock, which would be unthinkable IMO. So pensioners will probably get protected at the expense of the working age population. That's what usually happens.

With your threatened execution of joey we can at least start getting these numbers down

She walked right into Starmers trap on public spending, are you going to cut it NO.
Ft goes down right away.
She does it another UTurn.
Masterstroke and worrying at the same time She is that dim to fall for it

What's the point of mitigating enormous energy prices rises, incurring government debt in the process, only for families to then be faced with losing the roof over their heads? It was a choice between heating and eating, now it's a lose -lose can't afford to heat, or eat, or pay the rent / mortgage

Just watched some of PMQs, she has to go. To my eyes Penny Mordaunt looked mighty uncomfortable when Truss was speaking, i'm sure plenty of her colleagues feel the same. Doubt they will be slow in sharpening their knives.

Keir was a bit ineffective at times against Boris but his calm, measured, almost clinical approach is perfect against Truss. Something like giving her enough rope to hang herself, repeatedly. She is unclear - indeed.
