Literally going to cripple people this. I spoke to a few lads in work today and asked them when their fixed rate mortgages are ending. All sometime next year and all oblivious to what is occurring with the pound/BOE interest rates.

When the housing market crashes, people can’t afford to pay their new rate of mortgage and then can’t sell their house due to a market crash it equals repossession of homes and rich people buying property on the cheap. Absolute sickening how bad this is about to get.

I reckon the Tory Grandees have realised all ^^^^ that already, and will act. Its bewilderingly stupid. You may disagree with a politician or party, but few MPs are actually stupid. They just do stuff you dont like.

I did not think I would ever write 'I wish we could go back to Boris', but the crazy lady has done it...all within days.
That’s the line that’s gonna start getting pedalled out. Pete will be back on here after his ban saying it was our fault for ‘getting rid of Boris’. Johnson had to go regardless and then the Tory members and MPs voted this mess in. But it will all get twisted that is was the fault of ‘the far left’ and ‘woke metropolitans’ and then expect to see Johnson or definitely Sunak, make a run for leadership again.

The tories have screwed this country over the past 12 years. They should be a redundant institution by now.

Then their work will be done. Work every hour and hand over all your money.
Can't pay, we will take the house and keep that equity and sell it to our mates who will rent it back to you, for even more money.
Nothing else for it. Got to get the Mrs on only fans.

Thankfull I just missed this rate rise. Locked in for 7 years, days before it started rising.
Would hate to be in a position now of getting a new deal.

Thought he was unusually quiet, that explains it!

We are currently on fixed price for energy and mortgage, both expire next year around September, if I was smart I should be putting money away, but if I could afford to put money away, I wouldnt be concerned..............

I reckon, well hope, that by then a lot of this has gone away. Might have gone away next week. There are no fundamental issues with the UK economy. We have one gas pipe being a kopite, and one lunatic budget, which can (and should) be changed this week.

Basically the way am going mate. Even if it’s a tenner a month I feel it needs to be saved now. I might withdraw it all and put it under the mattress in case the banks collapse haha
