It's a shame that, in the home of liberalism, we have no real liberal presence anymore and those of us who are socially left, economically right have no real representation.

Fear rules here. Inclusion doesn't pay. Sell and eat what you can catch and kill. We appear to be on the precipice of yet another avalanche in living standards. It is unfixable now. It'll cost lives, it'll cost families, banks will hoover up repossessions, the scum (tories) will dip out for a cycle and blame covid/russia/corbyn/finance-rules/johnsons-ousting, resharpen their claws and go for the jugular again for another extended spell after a single labour spell doesnt fix all ills instantly. Doomed.
Still, god save the king eh, rule brittania, do ones duty, stiff upper lip, once more into the breach...

Those are just "less right", rather than actually left.
The original liberals were, but we haven't had a significant liberal force in politics for 100 years. The Lib Dems have always been more aligned to the social democrat wing of the party, and god only knows what they are now.

They'res been a constant drift in politics not just in the UK towards the right for 25+ years I'd say, to the extent now across the world most parties in power and the nearest opposition are center right verging on the borders of far right these days (I'm kinda using it from a benchmark of Atley as socialism and a Heath as centre right benchmark)
Modern day Atkey would be labelled communist almost by the media and Heath portrayed as a wishy washy liberal.
Increased power of corporations and media being controlled by several megacorps by and large has led to that in large part
