Enough independents/Lib Dems/SNPs can keep it from being an echo chamber, but the discussion is improved by the addition of some Tories provided that they possess reasoning capacity. Recognition of the fact that Truss is a human dumpster fire strongly suggests reasoning capacity.

I'm still bent out of shape by the fact that the Tories actually let her sit down across from Lavrov without her knowing that Rostov is part of Russia. This is literally why handlers exist.

That Rostov thing came from the Russian summary of the talks, and must be seen in the context of all their obvious duplicity during the buildup to the SMO - and yet everyone whose ever heard that story strongly believes that is what happened.

she's a useful idiot, push her in front of cameras to troop the colours... "less taxes for the wealthy", "sterner stance on europe", "ulez wokeness london mayor", "more graft and harder work for the lowest paid".... she's there currently to be a hinderance to sunak and his cronies.
the tories are setting their stall to wrap up all their problems and sink em with sunak, "we need a return to fiscally responsible conservatism" will be the chorus, "make britain great again", "we're all in this together" and the sun readers and the mail readers and the express readers will gobble it up.

Yeah, that's a very fair point. I'm not naive enough to assume any incoming Labour government is going to be automatically perfect and magically solve everything. But realistically it's only ever going to be either them or the Tories (or coalitions led by them), and the country can't stand another term of these chancers robbing us blind.

A Labour govt with a strong majority that can at least try to improve things whilst largely ignoring a squabbling Tory party without direction & at war with itself might just give us a bit of breathing room.

I don't think he actually ever existed mate, he was a Spitting Image puppet created back in the day to demonstrate what an Orwellian 2022 could look like if things went catastrophically badly. He was wheeled out briefly, somebody wrote a script while somebody else stuck a broom handle up his erse and after 49 days even those who actually rule the world thought and realised that there was no way even the most stupid would fall for that trick and lunacy any longer.
