I can’t help but think just how different the atmosphere would be in Liverpool and the rest of the country had this plot succeeded in its attempt to kill and maim innocent people. It would have been horrific; as bad and as harrowing as the bombing of a stadium full of teenage girls in Manchester.

Thank God it didn’t, and everyone is grateful for the near miss. But people move on very quickly from near misses, whereas the trauma from such atrocities would be life long, and the City of Liverpool would be extremely angry and traumatised right now had the plot succeeded with its intent.

Coincidentally looking at the news over the past couple of days now as the Manchester arena bombing case is back on, with the Imams reading out evidence of how other Imans were preaching hate for along time in there. Seeing as it’s frequented by so many, how was this not addressed and shut down? Either those innocent ones in attendance are turning a blind eye, so are just as guilty, or the government/council allow it.

Things are going downhill fast. It’s dangerous.
