The nbcsn call here in the states was great. Jagielka is a four syllable mouthful, and the announcer starts with the first syllable having no idea what is about to happen, but than finishes it off strong once he realizes he had hit the back of the net. The escalation is exquisite.

Have a look at the RS on the left with his hands in the air doing 'YMCA', and its only Barry that isnt allowed to put his above his head. It happens. But had that struck his arms then all wouldve been Shhhhhhh.

In reflection, 2 teams that didn't do enough to warrant a victory. Both sides should of had a pen so that was evened out. Very jubious decision to award ballotelli the FK which lead to there goal, not mentioning the fact that it was a 100% foul on Barry beforehand anyway.

They can have aimless long dribble shots all day long to build up the stats but we were never really in any danger. More importantly as a fan I never felt in any real danger which at anfield I always do.

It's up to them as the home team to take the game to us, or to use the advantage to get the result...they couldn't do it! All the top 4 would take a point at anfield as a good point and so will I.

Gerrard MOTM?? Bit of a joke really....haha...

Brendan can try all he wants to win the after match propaganda war. It was the same after the 3-3 last year when they all tried to make out they were the better team.

At least we are honest in saying we were poor. But if that was one of their best performances of the season then they must have been diabolical in the others. The facts are that at home, against a defense containing Tony Hibbert, they managed one decent chance from open play in 90 minutes. Not good enough. We had more possession and arguably dangerous chancrs of our own with Baines and Mcgeady getting in, and Lukaku with his missed header.

We shoukd have had a pen, so should they, their free kick wasnt a foul. Neither team looked like scoring ftom open play so it took a set piece and a wonder goal. Two average sides slugging it out, neither desrrved to win. One group of fans can acceot it, the other deluded bunch have to spend weeks in every media outlet telling anyone who will listen how they dominated, they missed chance after chance, plucky Everton snatched a point blah blah blah.

Truth is it was the easiest defensive performance of our season. Leicester, West Brom and Palace caused us more problems, and we had Coleman, Mirallas Piennar and Barkley, 4 first teamers missing. Ultimately the onus was on them being at home and they came up with nothing but a Gerrard free kick. Not good enough. They shoukd be looking at theirselves like we are. Instead Brendan is just bothered about making sure everyone still thinks they're better than us.

Liverpool probably wont be able to even play better than they did on Saturday, even with Sturridge back, however, we all know, even Roberto knows that we can take it up numerous levels.

He did two derbys in a day, ours then the Arse Spurs one. Gerrard got booked for cupping his ear to the crowd, Kilbane mentioned he had been getting tonnes of abuse from that stand (which Kilbane was in) all game so it was Gerrard getting some digs in in return. The big faced tit hosting suggested it was all Kilbane responsible for the abuse and he agreed. Roberts yesterday on final score was funnier by accident, suggesting Pelle wont score a better goal so should take the ball and go to the dressing room and write a letter to his ma explaining hes giving up football because he'll never do anything better.

He was talking about Chadli getting abuse from Arsenal fans by the way

The amount of chances they had, I would have put Howard or Stones as MOTM, which is a compliment to both them and us.

"Well defended by Lovren, and then..... OHHHHHHH WHAT A GOAL BY PHIL JAGIELKA, CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT, THE MOST, INCREDIBLE OF HALF VOLLEYS!!!!!"

Imagine that was from Sturridge or Rooney, it'd be taked about as goa of the season. What an absolute hit, stunning. I was as shocked as Jags was, haha! Felt like a win, made up, made my weekend.

By the way, what a player John Stones is. Will almost certainly go on to captain England imo. He has it all. The future of Everton and England right there. You have to laugh really, England's current captain is a 28-year-old mercenery who looks like he can't be bothered, while Stones is twice as mature and would probably be a better captain already than Rooney is. lol

Jags or stones would of been my MOTM. Not Howard as it makes it sound like we needed the GK to over perform for the result which was never the case.

Jags was solid through out and scored a Roy of the rovers cartoon type equalizer in injury time.

Stones was just boss and calm for such a young lad.

The goal gets more hilarious everytime I see it. Especially the angle from behind where you see just how perfect it is. Absolutely pissing myself. Has there ever been a greater comeuppance? Maybe Crystanbul thinking about it.

Stones is a lovely player, he's going to be a regular for England in time to come - he should be now really, him and Cahill as regulars.

I thought Liverpool were the better team on Saturday though - but that Jagielka goal was SUBLIME.

As they should be

If we had spent over 200m in the last two seasons I would aspect us to be fighting for the title ffs
