There was nothing wrong defensively with Everton today. In the Liverpool thread on here for weeks I have been reading how great Sterling is, so Hibbert did fine against him considering how many matches he started in 3 years. Browning did well too

Also questions about tim howard, some good saves but why did he dive backwards for their goal.

He'd set the wall and I think either expected someone to just reach the ball with their head OR that he was a yard to his right too far over, so the target was big enough to go for. Not sure if he was expecting a left footer to line up going for the other corner or not. Also worth noting that end had the sun in his eyes, although that seemed to become more of an issue towards the end of the second half.

Absolutely dont care with them trying to claim the propaganda war. Got robbed here when Distin scored, battered them last season at Goodison and they smashed and grabbed and then claimed they'd battered us, and it wasn't a free kick this time plus we could have had a pen.

Dont care how much Brendan cries, we were poor but they were just as bad and they were at home. A deserved draw. Would have done them if Coleman Mirallas and Pienaar were fit.

Yes he did play ok. Browning clearly has better tools though, both in defending and attacking. Only question for me is whether the better tools outweigh the risk of mistakes from inexperience. If Browning can always be as composed as he was today, I'd give the edge to his raw tools over Hibbert's experience. I've a feeling we'll learn a lot more in Krasnodar.
