That's what let his game down.

But he's continental player who wants time and space on the ball. He just panics because he gets closed down quick and gives wayward balls.

But thats not good. He needs to do some enterprising things like he did early in the second half. I can see a gleam of talent he needs to use it.

I'll take the draw with that team.

The game just proved again how weak we are in midfield when we have players out. The players out there today might play well as part of a team who are playing well together but when the responsibilty is on them to create something they just aren't good enough.

But they did work hard, everyone did and we made it difficult for the [Poor language removed] to break us down.

The entire back 4 were immense, dealt with pretty much everything that came their way.

Shame Tim let that goal go under him, he will be dissapointed with it and he should of stopped it. But in his defence from a goalkeepers pov low hard shots like that are very hard to get down to. It fell in that area where its too far away from your feet to stop it so you have to drop all your weight down pretty much instantly. Difficult but he should of stopped it somehow.

Other than that he played well, collected crosses and made good saves after his mistake, especially the long range shot from Dossenna, good handling.

Castillo tackled well and looked good with the ball at his feet. Just a shame pretty much every pass he played was atrocious. Up to match speed or not, big game or not an experienced international should not be making such a mess of simple passing like that.

We are gonna do them now at Goodison with hopefully a full strength team. COYB.

Feel sorry for Castillo, looked a bit downhearted on the bench when he was taken off. He clearly isn't good enough but he tried his best, that's all you can ask really. He hasn't had time to develop into English football and he's rarely played. It was going to be hard for him.

The back four where superb, especially Jagielka and Lescott. What a partnership there developing, Lescott just edges out Jags for man of the match. Poor keeping by Howard, should have done far better. Made up for it though to be fair to him with some great saves.

A great team performance once again, backs against the wall stuff. It was expected and we did great to keep Liverpool at bay. We'll **** them a Goodison, especially with Fellaini, Arteta and Saha back. Possibly even a loan signing.

Exactly its not good, but that would be drilled out of him with a string of games which wont happen with Arteta being ace with Neville.

Yeh your right. But how long will Arteta be out is the question. He is our cog to keep things moving. We really couldn't keep possession today and it was not a big mystery why.

Wow what a superb rearguard display, showing great team spirit and tenacity. Tim Cahill did what he is great at and the liverpool defenders criminally left him free again for which JL flicked in to score.
It would have been a great victory but for Calamity James (Sorry Howard!) but we will have some sort of resemblance to our strongest team in the replay when we can show a bit more ambition and beat this lot

I have to agree with you today it broke my heart. I use to goalie and that gaff was sad. He's to good for that. But he wasn't on form and Gerrard made him pay.
