We can still pass the ball through midfield. You don't need to play counter attacking football to pass.

The problem is it's not effective because of the tight marking. We pass it forward and there's always a red [Poor language removed] breathing down our neck because we gave them too much time to organise. Moving the ball forward faster will stretch them and create more space to suit our passing ability.

Not just that, what about a bit of movement. A bit more of Donavan taking advantage of Insua?

Feeling fairly philosophical after that (mainly because I've just won back the money I lost with a free bet on Rooney first goalscorer in the Mancs game). We cannot break teams down to save our lives so was always going to be bad news when they went a man down. Didn't show any real urgency in the second half until it was too late. Cahill should have scored first half. Very dissappointing but we'll be alright, remember, we're boss :)

Comments like these from the manager really do my head in.

Post Match Reaction – News Archive – News – evertonfc.com – The Official Website of Everton Football Club

Hardly ever does he take responsibility - and as a manager he should do. He dictates the tactics, and apart from shifting Anichebe and Donavan - what else did he do???

He done what he could to be honest mate, the players let him down somewhat today.

Leave the Moyes bashing for this week if you can.

After kicking the cat numerous times I've finally calmed down.

Lets take things in consideration from a step back.

Neither side deserved a win and it just so happend that Liverpool got a well planned set-peice in the back of the net.

Piennar, Donovan, Neville, Howard and Baines were shocking today

Saha just didn't get the service

Yakubu looked good.

Moyes said: "We didn't play badly and didn't deserve to lose the game, so that is disappointing.
"There were no real problems with the performance. I have told the players we will keep doing it - we just didn't have quite enough at the top end of the pitch today."

Unbelievable.

He actually thinks we played well.

He must watch the game with his head up his ass sometimes.

Sorry chico but Moyes deserves some bashing(as well as the players) for another bad performance from a pretty much full strength team and failure to win away at a top 4 team again.

Even worse when we had such a great chance to do so.

No Moyes out or anything though of course.

Slating the players could lower Morale.

Lets see how we do in the next 3-4 weeks.

As Dowie would say

'BOUNCE BACK ABILITY'

We are crying out for wingers to beat their man down the flank instead of cutting inside criss crossing each other path hoping for fullback to run down the flank and do their job.

If moyes thinks we played well by not stretching a 10 man team and having two shots on target in 96 mins, there is no hope for us(n)
