Only if they are better players and I don’t think they are.
Did you know Davies and Walsh were better than Ledson at the time he was sold?

No we can’t but we can clear their path by getting rid of the deadwood i.e. bang average midfield players like Schneiderlin, McCarthy and Besic. We simply can't keep every young player at the club, when they get to a certain age and there is no obvious path for them to get into the first team then it is best for all that they go somewhere and get first team football. We will probably have a % on any future sale of the player and I think all we can do is wish him well.
I didn’t mate because I hadn’t seen enough of them to form a judgement. That was clearly the club’s opinion though.Did you know Davies and Walsh were better than Ledson at the time he was sold?

Haven’t seen that so far. A lot of this comes down to playing opportunities. Young players will improve dramatically if they are given game time. If Walsh doesn’t get game time at top level he won’t improve. The seasons a write off in the league let’s use it to full advantage and develop the younger players like Walsh. We’ll be better for it in the long run.But they turned out to be so why couldn't Beni or Adeniran?
I am not sure I remember any player that has left us at about 20 years of age that has really come back o haunt us. A few have gone on to play in the Premiership but not so well that we want to bring them back to Everton.
Some of these lads need to move on for the sake of their careers as they might never have been given the chance at Goodison.
I wonder how things would have turned out for Jon Joe Kenny if Seamus had not broken his leg ?

Probably. Certainly in terms of a fee.Shkodran Mustafi

Walsh has a different skillset to both of them. His range of passing far exceeds those two. Beni is more like for like with Gana, and Adeniran is more of an attacking, pacy midfielder. Not exactly like Davies, but similar. Walsh could have fulfilled the role we were hoping Schneiderlin could in my opinion. A ball playing, deep midfielder. Not a defensive mid mind, but a deep lying playmaker. Having said that Walsh is a very good tackler despite his size, and is fearless. He's not as tall as MS but in my opinion (at least at U23 level and on loan) a much more effective tackler.
Others have seen him more than me. I go off what I've been able to observe when the U23 games have been televised and loan reports and reports from those on here who regularly go watch the youth teams. So I might be totally off.
Bold points aren't correct IMO but each to their own.
Again, I've seen him the least, so asterisk included. Scheiderlin has been a horrible tackler this season. I'll argue that point all day.
Yeh, I mean I shouldn't have to say it but lots in this thread think I have an agenda against Liam Walsh:
I like Walsh, I hope he stays, I can't see him playing, I see him being sold, I see no one caring in 6 months time.
