Can’t say I didn’t get my hopes up but he’s backing himself at a CL club as expected. Chelsea don’t have a bonafide number 9 right now so not surprised that’s the landing spot if true.

That being said, I’d be very shocked if they didn’t buy another ‘big name’ striker which would be the first choice come the start of the season

Obvs not his fault at all but do find it bizarre that he came out so publicly about us wanting him. It’s made fans, including me, think he was seriously considering signing for us. Now anyone else we go for looks like a backup option.
