Their fans will lap that up but truth be told they have been on a steady decline since the end of last season. At the point we played them in the league at the start of this season they had a worse defensive record than West Brom, with peg leg still in the side.

You also have to love the way last season they had the best team in the world, yet they’ve lost two players and they’ve completely crumbled.

City have had key players missing for weeks and just got on with it. They haven’t had any sympathy from the media.
