Looked better than a lot of our regular first team players. I'd like to see him kept around and maybe get some late game substitute minutes.

The perfect “6”. Sits, receives the ball from the defence, turns and immediately looks to move the ball forward. Always seems to have an age on the ball and never wastes it. That’s a sign of a quality player beyond his years.

Its quite ironic that he looks like a Harry Winks type, when Winks was fully fit and decent.
You could hear him asking for the ball and very comfortable, didn’t waste a pass.
The way Gomes was meant to be. It will be interesting to see if he’s loaned out or not.

Looks like he has a lot of the attributes you desire in a deep lying midfielder. Just wondering how he’d cope physically at the top level. Seems like a bit of a scrapper tho so could make it.

Stick him on the bench and introduce him slowly but surely. He looks a very steady midfielder who makes himself available for defenders and attackers. Doesn't hide

Always showing for the ball. His positioning is really good. Typical ball playing midfielder. I think he’ll break into the team in the next couple of seasons.
